  1. I like the fact that it cracked the shell and polystyrene as that took the impact not my head. And id prefer to see damage to a helmet rather than not see it and it be unsafe* hopefully that last bit made sense No neck pain or back pain or headache or nausia or anything so far. Just a sobering reality check Be safe out there guys and gals

  3. its a petzl alveo vent * the one with the husky logo on the back. it was a direct top impact on the back right corner the first photo should show that better. and the ploystyrene inside did the job v well *2nd photo you should be able to see a crack. and to wood ed it was filled out with in a hour. it is a climbing helmet
  4. title says it all detail working on a london plain i was on the ground the log bounced off a spar and hit me square on the head. the helmet took all the impact. i have no injuries but makes you think. note to all: WEAR HELMETS they really do save lives

  10. hello all arb talk truckers i would like some advice on my first arb truck. i am currently a free lance climber or groundie*take whatever work comes my way. but i also run a small gardening business hedges and that sort of stuff. i dont have a chipper to tow around but may need to take a trailer. what i would like is something that has 4wd incase i need it for a job sit 2 adults and 2 kids *thinking of the future and dual purpose work and family tow nicely*im not wanting to bomb it down the motorways but i dont want to be over taken by old grannies either and that i can just dump kit in and go camping for a weekend. i am thinking pickup truck but i am open to all suggestions from vans to tippers so over to you guys and gals what do you suggest and what is your experiences. thank you sorry its a long question

  12. getting a better lid for the oil can and replacing the rope. The question is how much is your life worth? more than the price of a new 45 meter rope? i am not saying to throw money away but when it comes to safety kit id rather spend the money and be safer.
