  1. then again I'm not a warrior
  2. The first part is the story I have been led to believe to be the case- the second-? didn't know that- Not sure how I would feel having magic mushrooms and being asked to fight- I think it would make me more anxious I guess:thumbdown:
  3. used them for about 20 years The new euro 4 one is more comfortable- less bouncy but still got no grip off road especially pulling chipper. A bit juicy (24mpg diesel) But nice and narrow More room in the new ones behind the seats for stuff but not great
  4. correct
  5. Is he employed paye? If so have you exercised your duty of care.? Did you explain about sunstroke? Did you provide PPE for him to use? Did he follow any advice you gave him? Unfortunately this is the employers duty. In fact - if you told him to keep his top on and he still took it off- you should have given him a warning. At the very least he should have had a written warning at the end of the day. If it's just mates and cash etc then come to some agreement. But not an agreement that leaves him seething as he'll just get his own back at some future date. Asking our opinions on here shows me you're not just some c--- boss
  6. This thread is expanding faster than i can read it woooh:001_smile:
  7. thanks for all the replies Ivy has the amazing superpower of being able to live on old walls even when roots severed- And I mean live really more like thrive- I expect they get their water/nutrients from the old lime mortar. I'm hoping to find the perfect chemical - maybe I have it all along in strong roundup biactive:001_smile:
  8. I'm wondering what the best approach is with ivy that is very stuck to a block of flats/garden wall with lime mortar brickwork. It's been severed but is still thriving My thoughts are to chemical treat it before removing to reduce damage from the work Anyway- does anyone know a chemical that would work on this.
  9. Blimey did you read all that:biggrin: I often think a hose buried within our chip pile would create quite a bit of heating if water in it could be pumped around the house
  10. Except in his books! Like him or not- the series was fantastic I want to go to oregon
  11. so long as you're not giving this info to a gov. department so they can decide how to tax us for it:sneaky2:
  12. you do what you do they do what they do don't be surprised
  13. so pulling one off eh! Thinking about your customers ...did you then go on to knock one out:001_rolleyes:
  14. firewood customers know it all....... even when they don't:001_smile:
  15. simply supply and demand equation Too many guys working in the industry and they all underbid each other till people leave the industry and prices stabilise. Personally I think any employer using dole signers can expect what he/she gets. Probably a no win no fee case against them. There are other ways of cutting costs. A good climber must be worth £120-£150 + every day of the week especially if complex or very experienced issues need addressing. Keeping them busy every day is another problem.
  16. sometimes I wonder why you tube
  17. c'mon- what did you do?????
  18. If thats the case you better check with your insurance company because they have a category 'hire or reward' and I'm sure we don't classify ourselves as in this category. So alls cool
  19. complete waste of time wouldn't touch it with a bargepole:biggrin::biggrin:
  20. great day... in fact great week accentuate the positive:thumbup:
  21. I'm often found talking to myself in the road It's not insanity- just a management meeting:001_smile:
  22. that'll be porous primer paint then beat everyone else to it:001_rolleyes:
  23. I understand this problem The flag idea / marker idea sounds brilliant- will have to fit this up
  24. the only time I've felt the need for a harness in a mewp was when trying to get the extra few feet by standing on the hand rails:001_smile:
  25. I must admit I didn't quite understand your thread as I thought you were having grief at work- many people report crap in that field. On here- I have noticed a number increasing in the bitchy thread dept. I put it down to users not understanding the need for smileys when joking or baiting other users.
