  1. I agree it does sound like trouble especially with their ideas You maybe could use wildflower Check with British Seed Houses for appropriate mix. Good Luck
  2. I'm wondrin whether this thread will get more replies than the christian one- not to say christians can't drink but you know what i mean
  3. That is so true they love to see lots of stuff on the floor I saw your truck Mark going round the tesco junction 11 roundabout today got to say your paintwork(truck and chipper) looks well clean halfords must be well chuffed:biggrin:
  4. agreed to think that someone using climbing rope doesn't know if there are any dinks in it is beyond me, Also- how does a loler inspector know when a rope has been involved in a fall/stretch It must remain personal responsibility- why all this cr*p Covering asses no doubt but that is just stupid.
  5. You've got to be joking surely felling beats them all:001_smile:
  6. It is now but a couple of years ago it wasn't- Maybe a check round of older stoves and site the alarm in the rooms not covered. The extractor warning is very relevant with a lot of people putting wood stoves in family/kitchen rooms- It's a warning I will spread around my household CO = silent killer
  7. why do you think working in the tree industry will make you happy? It can be hard and the pay can be poor. Conditions can be worse
  8. Eucalyptus oil Probably make it yourself- boil up a log of the stuff maybe
  9. Remember Paul Samats Loads of passion worked amazing well I don't know what your passion is Tony? Oh yes- just remembered:001_smile:
  10. Interesting thread developing- amazed that this is all voluntary- good on you On the subject of needles /litter etc I found a panty liner in a nearby alleyway on Friday about 1metre away from a used pregnancy test Just the thought that they have to use a public alleyway to check- amazing
  11. depends what you mean by christian:confused1:
  12. Is this true about auto immune problems being caused by stress or are there other reasons. I ask because I had them:thumbdown:
  13. Bet the flats are called Cedar Lodge/Home or similar:001_smile:
  14. but if that were growing by your house- what would you do?
  15. I'd recommend this guy for cs30/31 and I know he does climbing too though we haven't used him for this yet. Mature and very experienced
  16. Yes but Nick would have burnt the wood outside as a waste product otherwise. It's true that we are paying him the subisdy but farmers have often benefitted from subsidies so whats new. Also remember we are only jealous- we looked into pv solar but didn't have the right aspect so had to leave it. Look at other subisidies- child benefit/housing benefit/free bus travel for elderly/etc etc. It's called government control of the population and has been going on for hundreds of years
  17. your only problems are peeing off the neighbours using chainsaw a bit much. Otherwise would have thought a garage unless well ventilated not the best place to store. Like someone said- if council get involved they are for your personal use Business rates only kick in over about £5000 Rateable value Best thing you can do really is to ring up the cords on site before coming home
  18. I gave mine a birthday card as it's her birthday a few days earlier which I thought I'd forgotten and as the envelope was pinkish I assumed I'd bought a Valentines card. OOps. Also yesterday found a heart string of lights that I'd bought for Valentines and gave that. It's not the day, it's the thought that matters:biggrin:
  19. If I was an insurer I'd be interested in years claim free- but thats just me Your last comment is very relevant- and relates to the suggestion by trainers that we should undertake regular updates. Not many on here do (I believe) but would still think themselves as fully trained (both in tickets plus experience) In truth we all get a bit sloppy/complacent- lets face it. Who always has a wedge/hammer/spare bar/chain/second saw/ kit bag with them when felling a large tree ready for the one that decides it wants to sit back? Just after I passed my ticket I always had these near by for these instances. Even though I am more experienced I don't feel the same compulsion to cover my actions in this way any more. Now thats sloppy!! Now I'm just going on.... I'll stop
  20. yea but if you are driving without a licence(ticket) surely your insurer would not pay out
  21. yes but did you badly hurt anyone Say for instance there was a claim for £500 The insurer pays out as he thinks he will lose your business if he doesn't and the maths add up in his favour But- if the claim is half a million then he may decide to not pay out as he doesn't want you as a customer and anyhow you would have to pay premiums for 500 years to recoup his loss. I too would like to hear from anyone who has had payout refused due to non ticket holding.
  22. do you not think they are just happy to take your money- just like they don't want to see evidence of your driving licence when insuring a car. But when something goes wrong they might just say you were operating without due care Just a thought
