  1. Here's a sight that is both rare and beautiful - a screw extractor that worked! Broken exhaust stud
  2. First non-cherry tomatoes just starting to ripen, this is Moneymaker And also a new waterbutt for the greenhouse, 1200l slimline so just fits down the side of the shed nicely, fed from a couple of outbuildings gutters. Tap is a normal 1/4 turn 22mm full bore isolation valve, straight through, and the hose is 3/4" so you get a good flow using gravity alone. Hose reaches into the greenhouse.
  3. Is it the blade that came with the machine from new? You do sometimes get different thicknesses (how thick is it?) Stubby beat me to it!
  4. I dunno, I would've thought exhaust fumes from engines (espicially 2strokes, and chain oil spray), would be a lot more detrimental to your health than tap water. I suppose best play it safe and only drink beer
  5. This is an internet forum, you could have a thread on "what is your favourite colour" and still get a good argument out of it

    Jokes???

  7. Is it all about money? There's some landed gentry (who are surely upper class) earning less money than a kfc wage Either way, "you is what you is" we all came into the world screaming and naked, and some of us will leave in the same way too
  8. Clear as mud innit Those girls will be great-grannies by now

    Generator

IMO don't put all your eggs in one basket. Wood burner, gas camping stove, ghillie kettle, inverter on a vehicle, small 12v solar setup for lights/usb charging, worklights/torches, candles, batteries, tinned foods, battery radio, and a small gennie to run freezer etc once a day And a baseball bat to fend off zombies

    Jokes???

Yeh I would be hungry too if the ice cream van was going that fast
  11. I've never been in a secure hospital, are you allowed visitors? If so, could you get the item delivered to a relative's house, and they bring it in to you when they're next visiting you John? Get well soon.

  13. "The Consumers Rights Act does not apply to B2B contracts Thus, a business is not considered a consumer, and is not protected by the Consumer Rights Act. Without the same protections as regular consumers, businesses must take extra care when choosing the products and services they buy"
  14. Has the very big nhs hospital not got an admin girl who can write your emails for you Caps lock is shouting Half the items on ebay will come via hermes as it is often the cheapest delivery. If hermes is no good then avoid ebay
  15. Unless you drive long distances, it's a no go imo. Buy more batteries and chargers is the answer. They either need to go home where someone can tend to them swapping them off fast chargers, or at a yard left in a unit overnight with 1 slow charger per battery. Possibly even a dedicated fire safe container or whatever in case the worse happens
  16. Trying to think of a joke about Welsh inflation............ oh wait

  18. 30th July and finally!! a ripe tomato This is supersweet 100, and yes the name suits it !
  19. More dead elm......
  20. I've bought loads of plates over the years from ebay/amazon, I've never once shown any paperwork (it would take me long enough to find the papers!!) All the plates I've got are fully road legal with BS numbers, suppliers details, font, sizing etc, delivered to your door for £10/£15 a pair. Yes the suppliers are supposed to ask you to send in a v5 and id. I was once stuck and needed a trailer numberplate for the following morning so I just ran one up on the vinyl cutter, you can get the official font online, I didn't have any reflective yellow so it was daytime use only Any proper criminal will be making the plates themselves, or use another criminal friend, so there's no records. Or just pinch them off a parked car, save on the ££
  21. To buy numberplates all you need £10-£15 and whatever reg you want put on them.
  22. I had a parcel delivered from the stove shop there, via ebay, so the sender was Penistone. I know my local courier well, he was asking if it was some sort of phallic device in the box
  23. In a dick strawbridge book there was pictures of a little solar dryer, basically a bit of tin painted black, an old window, and a cupboard. Would love to give it a go for apple slices, don't know if it would work well in the north of scotland?
  24. The dropside Nugent trailer I've got is built like a tank. Lots of nifty wee features like led lights as standard, sides that don't rattle, leaf spring suspension that doesn't rattle when empty, handy flip up tie down points that don't fill up with muck, etc. Not used one, but the Nugent plant trailers I've seen in the flesh look really well made too.
