  1. Hi all, A general question about experiences towing and moving an 6 inch chipper vs an 8 inch. I currently use a greenmech Arb 150p which comes in at the 750kg mark. Looking at options for changing chipper and considering an 8. I generally chip into another truck once at site, transit tipper…and I handle logs generally in a defender 110. So most of the time, once at site …chipper is unhooked from my truck and put behind a transit. Main question is, is pushing an 8inch chipper about do-able …day to day. Occasionally getting sloped or gravel surfaces etc, and does towing an 8 inch make a big difference in fuel economy. Thanks guys 👍 Damo
  2. Hi Andy, this timber is from the base/hinge. I’d say that’s spalted??
  3. @trigger_andy Stunning workbench and workshop Andy 👍👌
  4. Thanks everyone for your inputs, all greatly appreciated. I have had an offer of £200 for the beech. It’s definitely spalted, and on the good side of bad so to speak. That’s the reason I removed it for a local city council. I’ll hold on to it for a while and accumulate so other bits and hopefully move the lot in one go. Thanks again for everyone’s advice.
  5. Hi Dan, thanks for your reply. I can get it loaded onto a trailer and deliver it locally, I’m based in Essex. But unsure on its value as is…thanks
  6. Hi all, any advice would be greatly appreciated on a approximate value of this cord to sell to a mill. Apologies as I’m sure it’s a common question. I do a bit in firewood, but seems a shame to buzz it up for that. 3 stems at 2ms in length 450 - 600 round. Thanks
  7. Can recommend the Stihl dynamic Bluetooth defenders. Had mine for a year now. Easy to connect, good battery life. Clear sound for music and taking calls [emoji106]

    Stihl km94r

I have a km94. Bought the full strimmer version last year which I converted to kombi unit straight away. Ditching the strimmer shaft for short kombi. The engine unit it self has been pretty much perfect. The air filter got flooded with petrol once but I believe that was the way I stored it once....in a cupboard on its side. The engine throttle dial is very usual, especially for strimming large tricky area when you don't need full throttle and can just run at half speed. Same with hedge cutting. It its slightly less torquey than km90 etc, noticeable more with a pole pruner. I'd recommend one. Fair better than the 4 mix unit which I have had 3 off. And they all have the usual faults....leaky carbs
