  1. I assume when you say watts you're meaning watt hours? It doesn't matter what brand it is, they will all cost much and such the same to charge, for the power that they deliver. If you look on the bottom of an 18v 5ah battery it will usually be stamped 90wh. 18 x 5 = 90 Add on a few watts for the charger itself, and there's your 100 watt hours (0.1kwh) to recharge. So a husky bli300 battery which is 36v 9.4ah, is 36 x 9.4 = 338wh
  2. I'm a psychopath, I went the other way! I had a renault master with a rotten tipper body. Got a great condition dropside (non tipper) body, from a transit, and fitted that, on my own. Not too complicated to make the mountings work. Gave the old hydraulic pump and ram to a friend, sold the old (alloy) tipper sides for £100! Handy little runaround, and the dropside has a swinglift on it, which to me is as handy as a tipper would be. (I know you could fit a swinglift to a tipper anyway....)
  3. Hi folks, I've seen a roble beech growing locally, apparently planted 1988 and a fair old size, beautiful tree. I fancy one for the garden, has anyone seen anywhere selling them, I've not had much luck on google so far. Ideally bare root and cheap! Or do you think cuttings would have any success?
  4. Seen they've now got fruit trees in poundstretcher...............but now £10 each this year!!
  5. I'm not interested in anything more than a liquid crystal display and a few LEDs
  6. Sony Discman D137 CR Mega Bass WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Good working order. Sorted

    Jokes???

  8. I don't understand, her leggings don't seem to have any pockets, but there's defiantly something stashed in there
  9. Don't forget quarries and sawmills have had to change to white diesel. Even the forklifts in builders merchants will be on white now. A local place does crushed stone for circa £20/ton 🤐
  10. Ask driver for details (cos the passenger aint got a clue!)
  11. Are the reds shaggable too then? Asking for a friend.
  12. As a change from people discussing their tax returns, have this........
  13. Talking to a local honey producer, he puts a few hives in an area with mature limes, and he said you can actually notice a lime green tint in the honey! They also put hives up in the hills to make heather honey, which sells for a higher price....

    Jokes???

  15. I don't know either splitter sorry, but you'd need a hell of a genny to run one! Even on the mains, for 3kw working away for hours, you need to have a decent electric connection. The less powerful splitter has a slightly smaller motor and slightly higher speed. And 110kg vs 171kg. That means a load more metal in the bigger splitter, but a lot more effort if you want to drag it about by hand!
  16. Was talking about this type of hinge with someone recently. Would the bottom socket have been a bit of tube/pipe, or a stone with a dimple carved for it to sit in? In a rural setting, with wooden posts, ie not a paved driveway?
  17. A few years ago- I lost a rake. Just one of those cheap leaf ones with a large plastic head and a wooden handle, but it was a nice rake, so I was gutted. As with most of my hands tools it had a bit of bright paint and my initials. Searched high and low for it. Was even starting to wonder if someone had taken it from outside my (previous) house!! Never trusted that guy who lived up the track. Couldn't remember when I last had it. About 6 months after losing it, I was back working in someone's large garden. Low and behold there was my rake, lying in the leaves/long grass, right next to where I would always park my van! Made my day! the householder didn't even know it was there. ......and both man and rake lived happily ever after

    Jokes???

A friend of mine recently passed away suddenly next to a blocked urinal. At least it was piss-full.
  19. Here's hoping! And second hand vans too!!
  20. With the prices some second hand trailers have been going for, they don't seem that good value compared with new. Especially if it ends up needing tyres, brakes etc. And you don't know if it's legit... Disadvantage with new is there might be a bit of a wait.

    Jokes???

Nah, it wasn't the arrival of the engineer that causes the pot holes, it was the arrival of the motor car......
  22. I've had the fruit trees from poundstretcher for a similar price (probably come from same nursery as tesco etc!), all but one have survived. They've not got them in yet this year, I'm keeping an eye out Plums are fine but the rest probably aren't the most suitable varieties and rootstocks for the north of Scotland, particularly out of town!
  23. Waiting for one of these to appear on withams, should be handy for tree felling
  24. Free firewood, just needs collecting.
