  1. I've nothing against them, but I'm not the slightest bit interested in the monarchy. Cannae beat a coronation chicken sandwich though
  2. Did she run off with the accountant?!
  3. That stuff will be dry enough to burn tomorrow, never mind the winter after next!!
  4. Use the £130 to buy everyone beer!! Worth thinking about what machinery you can use to shift the timber and brash, to save on manual handling.
  5. Only advantage I can see of a loop handle would be using it on it's side doing edging. On petrol machine loop handle have more vibrations.
  6. My own experience so far is battery tools are a safer bet than autotune
  7. Years ago I had an old wooden trailer I wanted to sell. So I filled it with firewood and put it on gumtree as "trailer load of firewood for sale, and you can keep the trailer", it went in no time!!
  8. Can you think of any freely available liquid fertiliser that is high in nitrogen?
  9. If there's no big issues around vehicle modifications, just put the details through a comparison website
  10. I think they call it a training bond, it's a common thing for bus drivers.
  11. Defiantly, it is a disgrace to log that up for firewood. I imagine you could build a whole house out of the valuable timber. Got to be worth a few quid more just for the andy murray postbox nearby anyway.
  12. So are chimneys to be fair
  13. I feel access and parking issues may have a negative effect on the market value of this highly sought after consignment Google Maps WWW.GOOGLE.COM Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps.

    Jokes???

Gutted to see this clobber won't be available in my local lidl
  15. I see Hugh was busy telling them a story of how big the squirrel was that he caught and cooked
  16. Supermarket petrol stations are the worst. I'm sure the staff are lovely people when they're off duty, but they tend to be total jobsworths. Best avoided.

  19. £166 for this fancy Odyssey Extreme battery, will update this thread in a few years with how it's going! Good excuse to do a few more changes to the machine. The battery has a new location, further from the engine and it's vibrations, mounted on timber, and also sat on a piece of heavy duty rubber. New battery leads (running in corrugated conduit), a somewhat oversized battery box, and space to carry a jerry can of diesel
  20. When I see a half finished job I wonder what happened to the first guy, did he not get paid The red flag works both ways
  21. Don't forget about this old thread: Hope @Marko is ok, he's not logged on to the forum for over a year
  22. You could sell it at a premium as the ultimate long burning firewood
  23. Oh once or twice over the years I've had to put a van into fords to get it plugged in for software update. You tell them that is the only job you want done. When you pick it up they have gone over the entire vehicle, picking fault in everything that is slightly worn, and hand you an estimate for £1k for a load of work that doesn't need done
  24. Unless you're going to do all your own work, you need to find a good local independent garage, and build up a good relationship with them. The place I use I've been going to since I started driving, and my dad has been going to since I was a kid. Our family has probably bought their house!! I do some work myself, depends what the problem is, how busy I am, how busy the garage is etc! Never have a clue what anything costs, they do the work that is needed, and I get a bill in the post a month later. I trust them, they trust me
