    Cs39

Been a while since my 39 but this is what i remember it to be: With regards to "step" cuts, place the undercut in first then with an outboard cut place the top cut further out than the undercut. With an inboard cut the top cut is closer to you than the undercut. The difference in effect of the cuts are, if you are letting the branch drop, an outboard should drop flatter (if cut right), an inboard should let the branch drop tip first. If you are cutting then holding the section it will help whether you want to snap it off downwards, upwards or sideways if placing the cuts at the side of the branch. Hope this helps - good luck. 2. I've got two of these - clarke CGG120 hand grease gun. A bit messier to fill than a cartridge gun but small enough to fit in the chipper and grinder tool boxes and have been good reliable guns for me. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  3. It has to be painted white otherwise it wouldn't resemble a Weirwood tree and then would have virtually no connection to A Game of Thrones except for the face in the tree. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  4. One very small addition to the AT that is quick and easy to fabricate yourself is a draw-bar coupling to replace the handle for towing behind the quad. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  5. Hi Matty when you find out the cost can you let me know please. The guys misplaced the pins this week. Still hoping that they'll turn up. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk

  10. I was going to see if you wanted to play with my dead KM100 - no worries, i'm going to ebay it. Don't burn yourself out mate. Ed Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  11. I reckon that if we manage to leave on time, we don't hit to much rush hour traffic and a stop for breaky, we should get there 11 to 11:30ish. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  12. Hi Eggs, Can sort a one way ticket as i'm going and returning on the Friday. I'm planning on leaving from Cambridge on the Friday morning about 7ish. May even be able to sort a lift from Bury as one of my employees live there. Only trouble is if I take the L200 you may have to amputate your legs to fit into the back of the double cab. 13. First time I've seen these outside of the reference books. Dead mans fingers - Xylaria polymorpha. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. The thing i love best about Predator machines are the multi-tooth cutting design. It's so quick and easy to change the teeth. I've got them on my Rayco 1625 and it took my under 4 minutes to strip all 6 teeth pockets off the machine the other day. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  15. Initially it was just little things like a broken engine mounting bolt and frayed brake cable (i believe the design of the brake cable clamp have been changed to solve this now) - both replaced no question. Then i started having running problems with the Kohler engine. I'm almost sure that this was just a carb issue but after the local Kohler service dealer tried to fix it and then the problem reoccurring, plus a further issue with a seized throttle cable, max insisted that i have a new replacement machine. Predator give you the option of having the 13hp Honda GX390 engine on the 360sw so I requested the replace with that engine and haven't had a problem since. I do still think that the brake system is inadequate to hold the wheel deck steady in certain situations although Predator say that they have not had any other negative feedback about the brakes but this is a small issue that i can live with. Km130...

Got an "old faithfull" HL75 that had outlived two KM100's. Will never touch a 4-mix again. My Echo multi-tool seems to be a much better replacement. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  17. If you haven't already done so, contact Max at Predator. I found the best thing about the company is their after sales customer service. He was extremely helpful with problems I was having with a 360sw. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  18. I wouldn't have an LDV again even if they came free with a Silky saw. If it's anything like the LDV I had you'll be spending more than £3K repairing it over the next year. Only good points about them are that they are cheaper and less likely to rust than a transit. Bad points are everything else but especially non existent hand brake, brakes, steering, gearing, drive comfort/noise. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
