  1. doesn't matter who makes them they are a tiny bearing thats maybe why there is so many issues with them can a larger heavy duty bearing be retrofitted
  2. i went for building it out of steel as i can't weld ali
  3. those bearings surely can't be for the chipper disc they are far too small

  8. we mount ours on the top of the engine canopy of the chipper it is quite heavy so it helps keep the weight down on the van
  9. i wouldn't have a magic eye then ?
  10. i would set the gap to about 1.5-2mm with feeler blade to make sure the eye is working turn ign on and then hand turn over engine and see if the indicator light goes on and off as the flag passes past

  17. on the first one it could have been branches interfering with the hook limit switch

  19. various carb gin issues poor hot starting revving up and down itself final straw was when stuart cut thru the starter case with brush cutter claimed he never saw it ….. tit!!!
  20. i got shot of our 550 as it was a dog it had been back to dealer 8 times or more but it was a great saw to use it didn't put me off so i bought us a 560 and its even better if they do continue to break down keep until the warrantys expired then stick it on ebay
