  1. it sounds like pressure may just need adjusted did it stall the engine with the old pump on it as the new pump may be mismatched is the engine ok is the engine definitely 8 hp
  2. there is no difference where the ring sits in the bore and yes i am using the piston to make sure its square the end of the rings look perfect as in identical i am now thinking sloppy manufacture and plenty of tolerance not wear as i first thought
  3. theres a relief valve in the gallery that should limit the pressure i would say if the engines been cooked the seals would be more likely to be affected than by high fuel pressure
  4. thanks for that looking at it looks like a gap of 1.5mm the bore looks spot on
  5. it derates the engine and puts up fault codes
  6. could any body tell me what end gap should be on the piston ring when its shoved into the bore we stripped it expecting to see a picked up bore and piston but can't see anything wrong now thinking worn piston rings as the air filter seals rather poor on it
  7. if this were to happen i think it would run away with itself id be more inclined to say fuel pump seals
  8. thank god something good on the telly after country file
  9. for the man above the same rate if the bible had any truth in it it would be a pamphlet
  10. post up some pics so i can see the damage i used to look after a fleet of 20 diggers for demolition and i have seen grabs broken every way possible to man most types as well from digits to abiljo i would almost bet money on poor weld in prep being the cause
