  1. quick question is the lego unimog supposed to be powered along with the motor in it or does that just power the winches and the compressor our lads built his up and i don't want to pull it to bits to get a better look

  3. leave it roadside and the log fairies will take it
  4. is there loads of end float on the crankshaft?
  5. its gonna be something oddball like a broken crank did it lock up with water in the bore
  6. without seeing the engine i am stumped sounds like you've done everything right
  7. your injection timing shouldn't have moved then i would suggest getting someone with bit more knowledge to look at the engine how did the bores look when you had the head off any scoring or lips at the top of the bores is the oil level correct as water goes into the drain holes when you take the head off and can shove the oil level up
  8. wouldn't think so, is this a pushrod engine with overhead valves
  9. look at the breather is there steam and fumes flying out of it usually with a fine spray of oil as well what i do on the cummins engines is fit a t piece in the engine breather and connect one side to a manometer the other gets a 303" restriction in it and you run it at full load full throttle and read what it says then compare it to spec. is the engine turbo charged as the return could be blocked with carbon. there are so many different things it could be.and yes unless its something you've missed i would have expected the problem to be there before you touched it .
  10. could you adjust the steering stops if it has any
  11. also the previous experiences i have had with 3 cyl perkins haven't been good they were absolute poop from what i can remember
  12. it sounds like its running on its own oil be very careful as it may overspeed is the engine oil diluted with fuel also when its running see how much back pressure the engine has if its been cooked the piston and liners could be bolloxed when you have it running remove the air intake and be ready to choke it with a rag or a glove
  13. yet another fake from ebay
  14. 365 definitely good saw as pointed out i would buy a new one from a dealer for an extra £20-30 with a minimum of a years warranty or is it 2 years with new huskys
  15. is that for somebody's boss once you've drowned his unimog
  16. if you want i have a kohler m16 available for a few beer tokens i just bought one of the launtop 16hp engines from west bank wholesale cost me £209 delivered to the door and i can't fault it how far are you from denny

  19. i take it the stump is 3-4 ft high try removing the bark all over it saves from using nasty poisons
  20. i would say thats not far of the mark price wise
  21. for plant i try to use fleet guard filters they are good quality and oe on some manufacturers and you don't get robbed when you buy them
