  1. I've done hoses on various tele handlers and every time I've had to remove the boom not a 2 minute job
  2. we have a 357 i thought it was a good cutting fast saw but we bought a 560 and its in a different league and then we fitted 8t sprocket as its on a 15'' bar and i have never used a saw like it its mental its a saw that in my opinion should only be used by people who aren't untrained borderline dangerous
  3. i hope your gonna post pictures as the build progresses
  4. theres one on ebay for 700 cheap way of powering a splitter what pressure do the hydraulics run at
  5. superb i like to see a good project that will sip diesel compared to a tractor or loader
  6. i only run my saws up until 9pm at night after that i think its a no no
  7. the fence looks far better than those manky looking leylandii good job
  8. almost all the time i use the brake but i think the slamming off the brake on at full throttle is a waste of time i prefer to stick it on and give it a few revs to check its ok
  9. fletcher stewart were doing pretty good deals on stein revolution about £99 limited sizes as they are end of range i think
  10. the last time seen that i was testing a battery and it vanished left me with ringing in my ears and battery acid in my eyes:thumbdown:
  11. when i seen one of you standing at the side of the van i thought you were taking a piss
  12. i would say you weren't far off the price we done one similar for i tree and it was £400 you win some you lose some don't drop your price ,kit costs a fortune and doesn't repair itself
  13. good vids what harness climbing set up is that your using
  14. ha ha i am laughing at this our local cat dealer lost our 70 ton excavator when we were buying it new these things happen all the time especially when its got an 80ft boom on it:confused1:
  15. i would use a new grinding disc on a 4 1/2 grinder to get a good square edge
  16. just sticking a turbo on is a no no for an industrial type diesel you will need different pistons and piston cooling nozzles different fuel pump and afc device also intercooler depending on boost pressure and the ball ache of getting it all to fit also turbos are matched to their application its easier just doing a repower with a more powerful lump
  17. what size are you that you can wear a transit
  18. we kinda evolved into doing grinding its an add on to our business there is good profit to be made doing it but they are machines of self destruction you will never be away from them with spanners and a welder and thats if you have a bit of mechanical sympathy we didnt realise at the time but as the power goes up the wear rate of tips goes up quite a bit we use greenteeth and sharpen them i would like to know somebody elses costs per hour to see how it compares up against green teeth the other factor as well is that if you are doing say 2 hours grinding on 6'' leylandii stumps you will ruin more cutters than doing 2 hours on a big beech but i aint no expert on the subject
  19. i would do it again in a minute the last time i shopped them it was for dumping asbestos
  20. if you cant get gasket paper a thick serial box does the job just as good as it says on the box they're great
