  1. the spool is closed centre and the valve block is open centre as it has a gear pump closed centre valves are for variable flow piston pumps or accumulator fed set ups
  2. the valve is closed centre i think its air in the top side of the cylinder or it could be the ground that isn't flat letting the tracks rock as shes front heavy
  3. the small predator is similar in width and also 28 hp but there engine drives the hydraulics as well ours has a separate 13 hp honda on the barrow frame to work the tracks and the hyd and the deutz engine just driving the cutter head

  5. no just an alternative to grinding carbide as it takes ages saturn do each tip for 5.50 + vat so they are relatively inexpensive hey it was just an out loud thought, could you post a pic of your tooth grinder set up as the one ive seen on youtube look like they take forever
  6. has anybody thought about sharpening greenteeth with a plasma cutter just a thought as plasma will cut throughout anything that conducts electricity if you could rotate the cutters as you blow off the rounded off edge or even using arc air

  8. the hurricane wont fit thru a 600mm wide gate the biggest issue we had today was keeping all the chip in are greenteeth quite bad for chip containment

  13. i would agree with that slew rings are a proper pain to do on a mini
  14. turn the engine round about the opposite way and run a jack shaft with 2 sets of pulleys with your reduction on them and make your engine on a slide to use as a tensioner/clutch simples
  15. get on with it you wont go rusty
  16. possibly not as good as multi tip but saves changing the cutter wheel
  17. change to greenteeth it saves removing the wheel and they use the same holes as the finger teeth
  18. kohler is air cooled kubota is water cooled thats a major refit to put that in deutz power would be easier
  19. pictures sounds like something not sitting in place
  20. inflate them a bit harder or put a wider tyre on the rim go up maybe 10mm in width and try that
  21. i do ours piece of cake buy decent oil and filters
  22. speak to eddy or david at jl steels they do decent stuff not the cheapest but deffo the best
  23. we have one on our chipper seemingly bright orange isnt visible enough
