  1. Would prefer a santana 110 to a land rover 110 as the santana has a 2.7l iveco engine rather than a 2.4 ford.
  2. 21 but 22 in august
  3. Spend it on MSN, MySpace and Facebook.
  4. Nope bug eaters. So unless you got flies hanging around ya you'll be fine
  5. I have passed the 1000 posts mark.
  6. Greater Horseshoe judging by his/her horseshoe shaped nose and large ears.
  7. Cleaning the family and work vehicles. Winds my sister up a treat as i have blocked the drain 3 times but very quickly unblocked .
  8. Tis a cracking movie but cant wait for the new Transformers movie. from what i've read its darker and has less of a childish theme about it.
  9. When i went to download last year i made the good move of booking the day before the start and a few days after off. First time i went i only booked the time off when it was running. Big mistake. Was hanging for a few days after and i was strimming as well. Not a good combo.
  10. Cleared up within a couple of weeks which was helpful. Only had 3 days off work as well.
  11. Pictures are enough proof that the limb was damaged before failing. If the land owner chose not to do anything about it before it failed then its between him and the utility company. On our travels we've seen really dodgy (split, hanging) limbs on and over utility wires. Last one we saw was a 60 foot oak with a heavy lean on it as soon as we alerted the land owner and utility company they were out there by that time the tree had hit the 150,000 volt wire and the tree had become ash within a few hours.
  12. yep will have to. you going to cla game fair this year?
  13. cant remember m8. will let ya know nearer the time
  14. Yup. staying at a friends farm bout 300 yards from main gate. not gonna pay to camp at leeds lol. more expensive than download lol
  15. Download and Leeds and Reading:thumbup:
  16. I live in a town but am a true country boy. always want to live in the country but houseprices are too high.
  17. That looks like a really old pollard. Only thing i can see that needs doing to it is the lower laterals need taking off as their end weight would potentially cause the limb to snap but other that that nice tree with some strong unions.
  18. Think so too. Probably more like 4k rather than 40k. But still been given his marching orders quickly which is amazing and helpful. Just wait to see where he goes after this.
  19. Had call from local housing agency he has been thrown out from the property and the courts have fined him £40,000 and ordered to pay for court costs. He has been a repeat offender with fly tipping on this site so we are really glad we caught him in the act. The asbestos ash/pulp has been collected by specialist contractors and they have put down fresh topsoil and grass seed. Wait and see how long it takes for a new matress fire or garden waste fire takes to appear.
  20. If the end weight is reduced/removed would that crack still be there. If it is then cracking bat habitat to leave.
  21. Blades were sharpened 2 weeks ago so should be ok for the summer. Degreased it at the end of the mowing season with a steam pressure washer. All wear is equal on all pulleys. When we have it on the lowest (2 inch) height the angle of the belt is pulling the belt uphill which is probably why it bounces off so often. 5l x 75. Its gone in today for a weeks worth of work (just niggles and to sort belt bouncing) Apparently its a common problem with our model but it can be resolved with 2 x 1/4" washers.
  22. Thats what we were doing today. I went through with the 341 with a chipper chain cutting the bigger (2 inches +) stumps with a colleague in hot pursuit treating them with neat Glypho 360. We used to do a 50:50 mix for stump treating but it didnt work very well so we now use it neat. We have just got a fresh batch of Glypho 360 but still have the old container so any excess from the stump treating jug will be going into that as we dont want to contaminate the new stuff with woodchip and bits.
  23. The trees were cut down last winter so we needed to cut the first 2-3 inches of wood to get down to the fresh tubes so we could apply the herbicide. My colleague thought it was pointless cutting the stumps down but it would be pointless applying herbicide to a dry, cracked semi dead stump. Looks nicer as well with the stumps about an inch above ground level.
