  1. I know that. But i thought it was running fast and it only stopped as the chainbrake went on and stopped the clutch semi-biting thus killing the engine. Will phone dealer tomorrow (in town we are based in) to see what he suggests before i take the saw half apart. My boss had a look at it and so did the tree boys and they couldn't figure it out.
  2. That will be first port of call tomorrow. What is strange though is the chain isnt going round at all. Havent fiddled with (idle/fuel) screws but will be dimantling drive system tomorrow morning. The saw isnt even 6 months old so may be going back to dealer.
  3. I noticed today when stump treating the MS261 i was using was running fine with no problems with the chain brake off. Yet as soon as i put the brake on it died. Any ideas whats wrong with it?

  16. Here is a pic of our (my dads and i) Defender 110 CSW when we had just picked it up and after some fun during some roost shooting. Didnt get stuck but very very sideways in many spots. And some pics of our now deceased Discovery 1 up on Salisbur Plain (P.S Only had high range due to transfer box breaking at first lane). It died in spectacular fashion to the CLA Game Fair at Belvoir Castle. One by one the warning lights came on and bang engine blew apart. Lost all oil from sump, radiator blew, battery shorted. No idea what happened but something when bang very quickly. Only doing 70 mph too

  20. Kretzschmaria deusta. Nasty little blighter. Especially in Lime and Beech
  21. Here is one of the man anicents in Blenheim Palace. When i was there last time i noted some Inonotus dryadeus growing out of the base. 2 of the brackets had been snapped off from people sitting on them but there was one still there. It had been deadwooded prior to the fair. The Woodland Trust | New discoveries | Old Snoozy, Blenheim Palace

  23. Hi guys and gals Bit of an odd one to ask on an arb forum but does any one have a link to the current TRO's (Traffic Regulation Orders) in Wiltshire. Mainly the off road version as my dad and a friend of ours are planning a day this sunday. We tried driving the Ox drove last winter and it was only open at Salisbury Racecourse. Cheers in advance
  24. Have been pulled over once on suspicion of being over loaded as had van loaded top to tail full of logs and trailer stacked full of discs. To the officers surprise was 150kg under max gross weight. I said it was the colleague who had been on a diet. He (colleague) wasnt best pleased i said that but officer chuckled and let us on our way. I think the reason he pulled us over was we were doing 55 mph going down hill but didnt want to cook my brakes before i got to the 90 degree left at the bottom of the hill. Bad enough with just a van full of logs never mind van and trailer.
  25. Reduce by 20% each year to pollard. Would give tree slightly better chance than having all branches hacked off in one.
