  1. Grim. Curiosity will soon get the better of me, I'm sure. Although I'm more likely to try it with Monster. I'll report back. Milk, Monster, Nuts, Oats, Banana,...
  2. Bad news, the rioting has spread to Ireland Paddy's smashed his laptop screen trying to loot ebay and lost £50 breaking into ladbrooks.
  3. Get a mulching blade on a brushcutter and mash as much of it up as you like.
  4. Lucozade and milk in the same glass. I'm glad someone else tried it before me, so I don't have to
  5. Did the IPAF MEWP course (cat 1b and 3b) yesterday. Did it at Hampshire Plant and Access, at Winall. Was proper good, especially as I am generally rubbish with heights. Not going to be doing the CS from MEWP course for a while though as want to get used to just being in a MEWP for the while. Going up in the middle of a yard with nothing around felt sketchy, especially in the trailer one which was tiny and flimsy. Doing the test though was fine, where I was reaching out up the side of a building and driving the Genie (3b) one around, despite the steering being weird. Doubt we'll ever get a tiddly trailer mounted one like that though but it was only a few extra quid to do 2 catagories.
  6. how much for an Ifor trailer of split telegraph poles

    Litterbugs

Thank christ for the school holidays. Means the bins get a few weeks off after all the hard work they've done through school time. That's the impression I get at my place anyway. Fishing line trailing around random stuff, dog poo bags placed convieniently for me, 24 Budweiser bottles smashed down terrace steps and onto lawn, human poo on the lawns located by odd socks (never my size though ) trails of sweet wrappers, a gangbangs worth of condoms, clothes, snapped rods, more fishing line, bbq's, voddy bottles, fires on lawns. Yeah well good.
  8. Milk, touch of ice cream, banana, 5-7 strawberries, handful of blueberries, handful of oats, 10 brazil nuts... blend it. Drink it up. Chuck the oats in last so you don't completely pulverise them so that they are slower release for the carbs. When I was gyming 3 times a week plus Krav'ing 2-3 times, I got fairly chunky while boshing this.
  9. Why do people feel the need to draw comparisons between Amy Winehouse and the Norway massacre? I reckon it's primarily based on the need to be seen acting like they give 2 hoots coupled with trying to look edgy. Well done, you; you're so controversial Facebook is horrific for contrived outpourings of false grief. People who wouldn't be able to name a single tune Amy Winehouse did are now long-time fans. People who didn't like her are suddenly inconsolable about one massacre. They think that everyone should focus all their energy on blogging about that when bad stuff like that happens around the world every day, some it even sanctioned by us, the taxpayers. Ho-hum. Sense of perspective indeed.

  13. Tonnes of silver-washed frits down my ends. Finding 45 minutes a week when it's suitable weather and I'm not otherwise engaged has been pretty hard this year though. Seem to have less large whites this year too.

    what bird

I tried to find a mistlethrush pic that looked like a woodpecker and completely failed, despite every time I see a mistlethrush I automatically have woodpecker flying into my head. Glad someone managed to find contrasting pictures!!

    what bird

Mistle thrush can sometimes look a bit woodpeckerish if you squint. Often mess around on the ground. They are more noticeable at this time of year, often hanging around in groups. I see loads of them on the lawns on a morning. Mistle thrushes pictures don't really do them justice for some reason, in how little they look like their pictures, if yergetme.
  16. I do a weekly transect and I have seen less than 5 since I began this one in 2008. One of them was last week. It's proper sparse down here. Last year I was sent something asking me to find their caterpillars on nettles and keep them until they pupate but didn't get around to it.
  17. Wifes auntie had her horses mane plaited once. Nothing happened.
  18. I reckon you could fashion something from wire coathangers and baler twine that would do the job.
  19. Also, if the tree was planted as a replacement for one that was felled in a conservation area or TPO'ed, the 7.5cm dbh doesn't apply; i.e. smaller than 7.5cm dbh would still need notification as per cons area or tpo. That felt like incredibly bad English then. Hope it came across right.
  20. for reference, on the htc mozart, you select the photo, hit options, hit share and upload to skydrive or facebook. Takes seconds. Brilliant setup, seriousy.
  21. They won't get caught. They never do. It's almost impossible to prove anything unless they get caught in the act.
  22. haha!! nasty!! that would proper smart. was the hedgehog okay?
  23. Driving to Winchester this morning I see's a filler cap for what I guessed was for a chipper lying in the road in my town. Picked it up, called my mate who lives down the road from me, to ask if his, as it looked familiar. He didn't answer so I dropped it outside his house. Carried on to Winch. He called me, worked out it was his (by which time he's spashed diesel all over the road). To save him coming off his job, I swung back by his and picked it up and dropped it off where he was working. That's my good-turn for July.
  24. McVeigh Parker Online Store - Riven Chestnut Post & Rail Kit Always had good service from them. You shouldn't need to buy a whole "pack".
  25. Try McVeigh Parker. They sell and deliver chestnut cleft, in your area, as far as I remember.
