  1. Hire a ride on. Mow with the collector off on high. Then mow with it on. If very heavy going mow only half width. Once you have got it down use your own mower. Saves flogging your mower on heavy going
  2. I would write the boss a letter stating following legal advice I am giving him 7 days to pay up what he owes or the matter will be taken to court. I know its a bluff but it could easily work
  3. Was going on Thursday now mate can't go till Saturday and then only maybe. Anyone from Burton or Lichfield going Thursday
  4. AS I wheelchair user I have to agree that he is being a selfish tw@t. As said if he has a designated disable bay outside his house for his use then get the evidence to get this bay removed and reverted to normal parking. If it is a bay for general use for people with disabilities than there is little you could do without it disadvantaging people with real needs.
  5. I would have been interested to make an offer but you are a bit far.
  6. You still need to say how much and whether FAC or not
  7. not everyone has your skill or enough time
  8. cutting as low as possible will produce new growth that can then be easily managed to produce bushy growth instead of leaving old leggy wood at the bottom of the hedge
  9. will be lovely to lay in a few years after cutting right down. Lay it now it will be a real bugger
  10. looking forward to seeing you and the other displays there

  12. we used to use a rear mounted fork lift on a Ford 4000 tractor. It had small wheels that ran on the floor. It could lift a ton easily. it solved the problem of too much weight on the front and the need for a large tractor to cope. Don't know how easy they are to get hold of.
  13. Similar happened to my dad living alone wit some dementia. He paid £150 to someone one day for some gardening and then £700 for the same bloke to prune a few trees and tidy up a few days later. I only got to hear about it when dad was asking what the cheque was for. Call the police and they came straight over, about 10 pm. The police man suggested we called the bank to stop the cheque but cuz dad could not answer the security questions we could not do it then. I had power of attorney but had not set this up for phone contact. I took the next morning off work to stop the cheque. The bank messed up and paid out. CCTV showed me coming in and showing the cheque book asking for the cheque to be stopped so dad got his money back. Thing is the bar steward ended up with the £700. Never saw him again though probably just as well cuz not sure I would have acted within the law an would have ended up in more trouble than him. GET THE CHEQUE STOPPED TOMORROW ASAP. If it is clear that he has been ripped of then it is fraud!
  14. I have been dry curing hams and bacon for a couple of years now. Its great stuff and the bacon is just like old times, no shrinkage! I have cure a goose breast last year and sliced it super thin. It ended up a bit like parma ham just a bit stronger. I might get one of these dehydrators they look good. Any advice on smoking would be good!
  15. That looks good. I use the wolf tools push pull hoe. they come in two sizes. I have worn one out completely. broken a couple. welded one up with reinforcements. I think I must like them:001_tt2:
  16. Hindsight is easy but if the area had been covered with membrane first and planted through this problem would not have arisen. Were you involved with planning and planting?
