  1. Crazy the prices some of this used stuff goes for! Fair play to you if can get your money back but why people pay so close to the new price is beyond me! As a rule I only buy used stuff for less than 50% of what I can get it for new or I buy new

    New saw

What work have you got for a new saw? Big tree that needs a 661? Get tools as you need them

    T540 what bar?

Ha, not much point greasing them, they fall in half and the grease disappears anyway!

    T540 what bar?

That's not too bad, could be worth doing it works out as cheaply as that. Not sure I'll convert though as bars seem to last a reasonable time without grease (techlite excluded from that statement!)

    T540 what bar?

Out of curiosity how much grease do you go though? Just looked and 10 sachets of Oregon grease comes in at £12.50, so if you said a bar cost £50 after 40 sachets you'd break even by not greasing? I've never greased a bar so no idea how long that would take to use
  6. Bring back the good old days where you could buy a chipped ntl box for £30!
  7. Try ringing perhaps? Rimgimg clearly isn't working!
  8. Hope that's not the case, redwoods website still has a Jensen section? I've tried arbrep before, emailed for a quote for a new sump and they never got back to me. Also phoned and got no answer on another occasion
  9. Are arbor eater still going? Half their website is missing and can't see them selling many machines up against the modern equivalents
  10. Never seen certain members of society vans without sign writing on! 'Stihl' 'ask driver for details' and '*a colour* *type of tree* tree services' (Insert any colour and type of tree to generate company name!)
  11. Nah stihl are generally a bit crappy, husqvarna saws are either brilliant or scrap!
  12. Maybe they outsource the manufacturing to husqvarna?!
  13. I like the currys ones, longer versions on YouTube rather than the tv versions though! http://youtu.be/iBsia0jYlx0
  14. If you're close enough to them to get there in a hurry get an alarm that phones you and set it to silent so they don't know you're on the way
  15. Seen loads of thefts on Facebook on last day or two as well these guys are definitely ramping up before Christmas 😡
  16. what vice?! On a serious note I had the older cs510, good saw power and reliablity wise but the AV was poor, if that's fixed they're onto a winner
  17. What's that bit with him sharpening the saw on his knee about! Echo bringing out trousers with a built in vice now?!
  18. I had one for first chipper and it was great, got through load of work with it. They do block a fair bit though, esp on dead conifer! Had to sell it recently when the transit died but would buy another as a back up chipper if funds allowed
  19. Correct my first 540 started throwing chains on its second day at work! Try the stihl full chisel on it, the Oregon one is too 'snatchy'
  20. That and the fact it's listed at that price http://www.abbeypro.co.uk/woodchippers-shredders-and-stu/narrow-access-woodchippers/showitem-M50024.aspx
  21. I know its a bit of money but what about something like this? FLAT PACK CONTAINERS FOR SALE 2m self assembly galvanised 25681 :: £915.00 :: 6ft to 10ft :: New :: CONTAINERS DIRECT

    New Ms 362

if it's not this saw its not radical!!
  23. priced this one and the guy actually said wanted to get an idea of cost as might cut it up himself! Pointed out the dangers of compression etc, never heard any more about it, either he's in a and e or someone went it silly cheap!
