  1. Well jelous, a nice looking tractor you have there.
  2. I believe machine mart are authorised repairers for macs.
  3. I bought my makita online, not had to buy spares yet, but plenty of makita dealers out there and on internet.
  4. Hi chaps, that 'makers mark ' website is just the thing i'm looking for. cheers.
  5. Mods, please move if in wrong place. I'm after some help, locating somewhere, where i can purchase them metal stamped name plates you normally find nailed on fencing panels etc giving out the companies name and contact details. I dont really know what they call them, so therefore although my google searches have been amusing i havent found what i'm looking for. Up until now i have just been stapling a business card to my work, but i'm now wanting something more permanent, hence looking at the stamped metal plates. Thanks Harvey.
  6. And i will chuck Makita into the mix. Nice well made saws. Cheaper to buy and reliable.
  7. brilliant peice of craftsmanship, i love looking at your work.
  8. Makita. Well made, carnt go wrong.
  9. Makita ! I've got the EA4300 model. 18" bar, slightly heavy i would say, but solidly built. Costs just a fraction over your £350 budget.
  10. I detest prank calls, if i hear them on the radio i switch off and never go back to that station. The person making the call has no idea or history of the person they are calling. How do they know if the person they are calling has a delicate medical problem, or mental problem, they dont and they dont care either. I'm sorry but if someone prank called me from a radio station or even in general, i'd want to make sure they knew how it felt. The police, the banks etc are always telling people to be aware of bogus callers, what about the elderly, the vunerable etc.
  11. i have a makita ea4300, and find it a cracking little saw.
  12. I've finally got round to booking myself onto a cs30 course in the new year. If that counts. As ever, i would love a landy but carnt afford one just yet.
  13. Take mine whenever i can, but she always stays in the van. I then find somewhere to walk her in between jobs.
  14. I use a makita mainly, for my logging work, But have just bought my dad a small husqy. Have used used various bits of stihl kit, but just carnt seem to get on with it, although i do have a Stihl power washer. But as someone previously said, mcculloch used to be a top notch saw, and being honest i have a 335 that despite being used and abused still comes to life when cutting up rough timber on site.
  15. Machine Mart have a couple in. Clarke stuff is pretty reasonable.
  16. Have a look at the makita EA4300F, nice saw at a decent price.
  17. have a search for barnsley bob on here. he may be able to do it for you.
  18. I bought one of these 6 months ago and it's a cracking little saw.
  19. tidy bit of workmanship that. Also some tidy pieces of kit as well.
  20. How does the older DCS saw versions compare with the newer EA saws. Just interested as i use a EA4300 saw. Thanks.
  21. Brilliant piece of craftsmanship. Love the dovetailing. I did a barn renovation last, but had to buy in the king and queen post trusses. When i have time i will put pics up.
  22. Theres nothing wrong with makita, they will do the work that you require them to do.
  23. Another vote here for makita, i have one of the newer EA4300 versions, and i find it a smart little machine, and i use it for similar to what you would be using it for.
  24. Or you could look at the makita range. A few of the guys on here run them to some degree. They're not a bad saw at all and well priced. Incidently what dealers have you got around you, as that might be a contributing factor when you make your mind up. Also what about ppe / training etc.
