1. They have worn out from processing firewood and handling logs. I did look at the Strauss ones online but needed some for the next day so went to my local Arco. I liked the Wells Lamont ones Costco used to stock but have not seen them there for some time and they are the only UK stockist.
2. Arcos best leather gloves, on the right, after 8 days work! Glad they were half price when I bought them.
3. If its an extra cab you want as opposed to a double cab bear in mind there is only the Ford Ranger and Nissan Navarra and the brand new Isuzu where the rear door actually opens which would make putting kids in much easier.
4. But 340 miles from £70 = 420 from £90:001_tt2:
5. I've had the same thoughts the last few weeks. I'm now getting very choosy with new customers - must be really local or referred. But when I look at the dwindling log pile I panic - dont want to turn away customers I have built up over last year as I am sure when September comes and I ring them they will've gone elsewhere. From what I am hearing from other suppliers, if you are offered any wood, take it as it will be in short supply soon.
6. That is thirsty. I average 340 miles from a tank and that is with a load of logs on most of the time.
7.
You jammy bugger. Crackin price, especially if its dry and ready to go. Is there much?

8. Hi Matt, What sort of mpg do you get with the All Terrains on the Ranger. I've got an 07 Ranger on its original Michelins (at 52400 miles!) and am looking to when I have to replace them.
9.
What you doin' wasting time on here Taylor - you should be trying to find me some dry hardwood I can log up! I sure as hell aint got much left!!!

10. Palax are good machines, speak to Jim at Caledonian Foresty Services. Or you could save a load of money and hire in a guy who advertises on ebay that he can process 4 - 5 ton per hour through a Japa 305BE. I would quite happily pay him double to come to Newcastle if he thinks he can process an artic load of timber in a day through such a machine!
11. Gary might have the manual, Ian checked and he couldn't see it at his.
12. I have an 07 Super cab and whilst I love it and it suits my needs down to the ground, I think you would struggle putting child seats in. Especially as the seats in the back are not so much seats as squabs, if you know what I mean.
13. Well done Mark. Is it running or does it need repairs?
14. This is my set up in its present guise. we keep moving the deck and processor around to see what works best but have come to the conclusion the shed is too long and narrow to be ideal! Yes, its great having friends with kit you can use - shed, tractors, robot, etc. Nice Kenworth in the pics ecotreecare!
15. Just looks like some one has put a G Wagen body on a Unimog chassis.
16. Hi John, article was in Land Rover Monthly, May 2012. I have pm'ed you owners details
17. There was a yellow one on ebay a couple of times last year, it was in Sunderland and price was about £12k. I'm sure the same motor was also in one of the Land Rover magazines so I will see if I can find the article because it had the guys details in.
18. Ian had one and presumably gave it to Gary Mark. Just ring Ian - hes got all the answers!
19. But you dont have to go for the bling bling version Ford Ranger Models - XL, XLT, Thunder and Wildtrak models - Ford UK
20. Had a fantastic day on Saturday on Darren of DM Taylor Firewood Supplies shoot, ended with ducks on the pond which was probably the most exciting shooting I've ever done. Some pics from the day.
21. Since Ford have taken over production of the Ranger with the new model, towing capacity has increased to 3350KG for the UK market. Only problem is there is such a demand for them apparently, there is a long waiting list.
22. But surely the fact that so many contractors and farmers use non Land Rover pick ups shows that Land Rovers traditional market is no longer there, they have not moved sufficiently with the times. They should have made a Discovery pick up when they first introduced it, the commercial van variant was always very popular. I have been and still am a Land Rover enthusiast and think they should have offered the military models to the civilian market with a big options list so those that want no space for their right arm, cramped cab, crap heater, more leaks than a Welsh fete and invariable build quality and reliability could have it.
23. According to "4x4" magazine, January edition pick up test, these are the max towing weights for the popular pick ups: Mitsubishi L200 Trojan - 2700KG Toyota Hilux Invincible - 2800KG Nissan Navara Tekna - 2600KG Isuzu D Max - 3000KG VW Amarok - 3200KG Ford Ranger Wildtrak - 3350KG
24. Give Ian a ring Mark, I told him you thought the drive was kaput.

L200 advice

Just as a side point, how you find out if Euro 4 and claim £135 tax? My 07 Ranger is £215 tax.
