  1. Can't beat you for trees, but I've got one from when I worked on the water. Called out one night, full manhole/loss of services, we get there, no one home, lift the covers everything's empty, off we go. Next day the call centre were wanting us to go back out to unblock it!, when we turned up it was a few minutes past 12, silly bollox here made the mistake of saying "good morning" he set right about me, "morning, it's fecking afternoon, why didn't you come last night, blah, blah, blah. I told him to go feck himself, (not my proudest moment), but he had to have it). It's a good job my manager was my ex mate off the tools.
  2. Terry Jones did one. He was a very naughty boy.
  3. When I first read the title of the thread I thought something had burnt down on the Isle-of-Man.
  4. Yep, and who'd want that Tosser around them when it's gone wrong.
  5. Spaniel with a tail! Is it a young'un?
  6. A village near Sudbury, Suffolk. Seems they got a good haul, just heard they got thousands of pounds worth of fishing gear from a neighbouring property.
  7. Just had a phone call from a mate, the dirty thieving bastards had his three trial bikes away last night.
  8. Yep proper frost, it's good to not be slopping about in the mud with the dog.
  9. That's that one put to bed then.
  10. Plugs makes a living of it.
  11. Glorious blue sky, it wasn't half cold first thing this morning mind.
  12. Fair play on the stone floor, it will always be there for later, cut ya cloth accordingly. And not too far out at all, bit like where I'm at. I went to Hexam once to the races, t'was a bad day, done me dough and it pissed with rain. It's a long way back to Suffolk when you are crying in ya beer on the coach back home.
  13. That's a cracker Bill, are you going to put wood floors over that stone floor?, I think that looks the dogs. It does look rural, how far are you from the nearest town/village ?
  14. Certainly have, got a digger on hire making a track so it is can be driven to, then need to sort out alot of renewables, and wiring in house, insulate all the walls, renew windows, few wooden floors down, convert an attic into a bedroom, sky lights in, re fit bathroom, carpets upstairs, jobs a gooden! Should be done by Easter then, not that big a job... pictures as you go Bill, if it derails this thread most won't give a flying.
  15. Good news about the new place, sounds like you've got your hands full. Still got the bus.
  16. @billpierce how's the box coming along Bill?
  17. The man getting his hands dirty is getting the profit he wants. I would think TVI is smart enough to know what's best for his business and woodland.
  18. It wasn't the C1 we thought we'd lost, I've still got mine, we thought we used to be able to tow more than we could with a 7.5T before we sent our licences awys. Was it the C1E that got the 107?
  19. One big regret for me was I was offered a class 2 by a company I worked for my moons ago and didn't take it. Don't know how it works these days, I've got a 7.5t but it's classed as a motor caravan so I only need my normal license to drive it.
  20. Same over this side of the country, its lashed it down and blown a good'un last couple of days. If it carries on there won't be much work done this week.
  21. @LewisB of this parish used to buy Apple wood @£400/ton if it was processed to his spec, might be worth a PM if you plan on selling any.
  22. It wasn't only easy it was a right laugh as well, scraping ice off the inside of windows in the winter before getting in a tin bath for a wash, then move two hundred miles from home because there was no work in our area, we did laugh.
  23. Sorry Stuart, couldn't help myself. You can get waterproof panels that have two leads that you fix onto the battery much like battery charger leads. If you're going to get one online try bimble solar.
  24. Cover it with a bin liner to keep it dry.
  25. The cheap ones won't drain the battery at night they have a built in controller, very basic but they work. Yes you can use them with a battery that's in use.
