  1. No, the graphics aren't optional if you need to prove a self build is a motor home, It's a van until you can prove different, what you've got is a converted van, full stop. like I said, show us the V5 when it's been changed.
  2. Yep, my 7.5t is a converted commercial van, on the V5 it's a motor Caravan. That van of Muttley's will never get passed as a day van, never mind a motor Caravan. I'm sure there are better sources of information but this came up first. It must look like a Motorhome. DIY - Self Build Campervan Insurance and Day Van Insurance WWW.CARAVANWISE.CO.UK DIY motorhome and DIY campervan and Day Van insurance UK. Get an instant self build campervan insurance QUOTE...
  3. Nope, you can tell the insurance company it's a day van, but if you have to claim it will be worth nothing. To be a day van it must look like a Motorhome from the outside, along with bed and fixed, but movable table. It's a van you've converted, nothing more, nothing less. Looks tidy, but it's a van for insurance purposes.
  4. Looks tidy, if you get it passed as a motor caravan could you post a photo of the V5. I presume that is a three n half ton van? If so, with all that gear, wood panaling, full water tank, fuel tank, you are well over weight. It's not just you, look on the Motorhome/camper forums, most of the manufactures vans come out of the factories not fit for purpose. still, a nice looking bus.
  5. Asking for a friend who hasn't got long left and wants to cash in everything he's got to leave to his wife, it's mainly that awful, but heavy chains, bracelets that some blokes wore in the 80's. We know he could take it to the jewellers that buy, but they want 15-20% on the sale, or its scrap money, anyone got any other ideas? For scrap it would make about £15k. All this gold is legit, recipts from where they were purchased will be provided.
  6. Economic down turn, good luck with that. I've got a little stack of money, trying to get a house with a bit of ground around here...
  7. Go over to their factory when they have an open day, it's an eye opener. Free tea, coffee, lunch, and a bag of goodies. I expected it to to be a big place, but...
  8. Can I ask when you were last asked to show your tickets?, I can't remember the last time I was asked for any apart from a bog standard cscs card to get on a construction site, that card is nonsense because it's the 'labourers' card that has no relevance to the trade I work in.
  9. It's the selfishness that gets me, two weeks lock down wouldn't be good, but for the good of everyone in the country? I don't have elderly parents/grandparents but these are the people that will cop it first if what I've read is correct. Most of us, (not all) are very small businesses, two weeks off the tools wouldn't be a killer, coronavirus is.
  10. Yeah of course the government will pay our loss of income, just like when we have two weeks in Tenerife.
  11. Leave it out mate!.
  12. It's freezing out there, little dog sneaked in last night and wanted out this morning. It's bitter in that wind.
  13. What makes you think I'm always in the pub, Les? I probably go to a pub once or twice a week.
  14. Lashed it down yesterday, rained off by lunch time, called it a week, it's been glorious today.... how's ya luck?
  15. Don't do one on me Prentice, I'm banking on you to show us how to fight the good fight.
  16. Nothing, the white would 'Water down' what red was in the tank, VOSA or whatever they are called now wouldn't take it as a positive reading.
  17. Fixed that for you. Les.
  18. Mouthpiece for kids!, are those the same kids who are bankrolling her?
  19. I've used those Tsurumi pumps when the customers don't want to pay the price of a replacement Ebara, they work well, and they're a like for like swap. Yeah, I hear what you say about pressure , it's not unusual to get less pressure for more flow, or t'other way round. I presume the white pipe is the mains in, and there's a stopcock in the IBC?
  20. Take the covers off so you can get at the water inlet, attach hose pipe to it and turn outside tap on to force water through the pump, while the tap is still running pull the trigger on the lance, reassemble and try it again, sounds like there could be and air leak, possibly on the in take side of the pump. Another thought, are you running it on a long extension lead?
  21. That high head you have is some machine 100l/min is 22 gallons/min, that's some flow.
  22. That's 2,200 psi (roughly) @ 13l/min, depends what you want the machine for, if it's for cleaning cars/vans/trucks it would be ok, if you intend cleaning your patio/driveway you'll be there for the rest of your life. Flow beats pressure hands down for most cleaning jobs.
  23. Second Adrian Flux, they were one of the only brokers that would cover my converted living box. Funny this should come up today, I pm'd @billpierce, last night to ask who he's insured converted boxes with in the past because Adrian Flux have sent my renewal and it's nearly hundred quid more than last year. Don't know if Flux are any good, never had a claim.
