  1. Nope, that isn't how it works. My van will do a ton, doesn't mean I can do it legally.

  5. I don't know about that, What I do know is renting a small shed/yard like that around here would cost a fortune, if you could find one. Seems similar all over?
  6. You're probably missing that was a few months ago, and finding small yards like that is a long process.
  7. Have you found anywhere to go Roughy?, I've been looking fora bit round here, and in the Peak District. Although I "know" people in both areas there's nowt going on.

  11. Must be handy when ya grandfather was Churchill, and ya brothers a former conservative MP.

  13. These would make you one, they ain't cheap but they are very good. KMR Engineering Limited WWW.KMRENGINEERING.CO.UK Commercial Body Builders & Sheet Metal Fabricator in Hadleigh, Suffolk, England.
  14. Yes Ratty, and what a feck up it was. The management company who have run the site supplied all the parts we were there to fit it, to be fair they are usually very good, but someone got this one wrong. We needed 2" guide rails, we got inch n a quarter, we needed the biscuit on top of the chamber the right way round, guess what?, we needed the main contractor not to move the control panel cabinet and bury the ducting. Never mind, I did get to cut 300mm off a 110mm rising main before I realised the compression joint was 90mm. 7 hrs n 550 miles later we achieved feck all. I'd made my mind up I wasn't going back tomorrow, so I'm having a little sweet number, it's down the smoke though.
  15. It was grim in Yorkshire today we were working not that far from York, a place called Market Weighton. Nice to have a local job in the pi$$ing rain all day!
  16. Is this not CBIL's, not BBL. Either way, we all will pay for it.
  17. I'm being serious this time, Stubby. Was it a no-brainer or did you think about having the vaccination? I'm no anti, just curious.
  18. Yes, it's the road out of Cavendish, towards Pentlow, Rodbridge.
  19. Says a bloke who chooses to live in South London, or whatever it's called now.
  20. Did I mention we'd had some rain here over the last few months? Note the raised walkway next to the fence.
  21. Try to keep the weather up there, tidy yard. What are the solar panels powering?
  22. It put me in mind of when I worked on a 'gang', first sign of frost/snow and it was a day in the office, the office was The Cross Keys.
  23. ... he says whilst rolling another smoke to walk down the Offy with...
  24. Neither would I worry about it, in the same breath I wouldn't give out advice on tax, insurance, and licenses if I hadn't run it by someone who knows these things.🤷‍♂️
  25. The OP said from the very beginning he would consider getting his tickets and do the job part time, he also said he was self employed. It doesn't need the likes of me to dob someone in, not that I would.
