  1. It took me a moment.
  2. It's Raydon in Suffolk, Hadleigh/Ipswich way.
  3. I didn't go without beer i just drank what I had to fast.
  4. I'm being a right rebel this NYE, I've run out of beer and put three rasors of bacon under the grill, I'm tellin' ya, I'm down with the kids.
  5. An employer sure as hell can dictate what an employee can do down here, my last employed contract, on the books, I had to declare (like I did!) any work done outside of the work I did for them. If it breached the working time directive you weren't meant to do it.
  6. Nearly got sacked from the water authority for leaving a cover off unattended, years back. I'd barriered it off but some clowns Jack Russel wanted a closer look.
  7. Shouldn't effect you much Sam... only joking, Merry new year.
  8. Sounds a lovely job, oh hang on.
  9. If they weren't needed in the first place I'd like to know who got the contracts to supply the materials to build them.
  10. They are trying to get the beet in here, it isn't going well.
  11. It seems to be the same all over, all the ground here is saturated, my brother tells me it's the same in the Midlands. Grass ain't always greener elsewhere.
  12. Probably not, that doesn't take away from the fact that the prison system doesn't even try to rehabilitate those that could be helped.
  13. 300 quid, right!
  14. This explains what people think, not know.
  15. K'in dogs, he looks like he's got more front than Blackpool.
  16. So you are commenting on a subject you know nothing of? The crux of the problem is the prison system, please take my word on this one, I've seen it first hand.
  17. Tell us about your experience of being in prison, tell us from your first hand experience why prisons aren't tough enough. I thought not.
  18. In Romford, Essex they are treating patients in ambulances because there is no space in the hospitals. https://www.essexlive.news/news/essex-news/photos-show-ambulances-waiting-outside-4839252
  19. Why?, because it's only fair, people up North don't want new prisons on their doorstep, so build them in the Home Counties. The serious deterrent is being in jail, not punishing people why they are there. If you can't see people need rehabilitation while they are in prison you are part of the problem.
  20. Say what!
  21. A former prison officer posted here earlier, the prisons are full, don't you believe this? We need to build more prisons, or rehabilitate people. You've told us how much a metre squared costs, oh, and by the way, those new prisons will be down south.
  22. Fair enough, I'll go with that. Now, rehabilitating prisoners so they don't reoffend after the first couple of visits?
  23. The prisons are full because we don't rehabilitate people in our prisons, yes prisoners can go to the workshop or education, this is not rehabilitation!, neither is banging 'em up 23 hours a day. Most prisoners are reoffenders, the prison system doesn't work. Off topic but it keeps the stolen gear at the top of the pile.
  24. I live in a 7.5ton truck, doesn't mean I don't have access to a C/O address. If they were pulled with no address, no insurance and an unregistered vehicle it would be seized. Jail talk, nothing more. There are plenty of members here who will tell you I've lived amongst gypsies, the picture you paint isn't how the vast majority of them roll.
  25. We've become a country of self employed, wether that be our own work, freelancing or subbing. We all know there is more money in it for us, I work this way because I don't want to turn out for the same firm 5 days a week. Have you tried contracting in labour?
