  1. It would maybe be possible, but yard is rented would have to see. Also it gets snotty due to other tractors going past chip pile and when its wet turns it into a kind of rice pudding / cream mix! Thinking of a 4wd loader tractor as can save my back on site which is the main thing. Take away as much manual handling as possible
  2. Finding something suitable, clean and genuine is a lot to ask though lol
  3. Would like something to take to site also. Want to get one decent machine that will do me for years
  4. I have 2 big concrete blocks then a big heavy splitter on the back of mine but feels like it could still do with more weight! Bet theres 1100-1200kg on the back as it is
  5. One thing i will say though is visibility on the 2wd tractor loader is poor! Cant see front of forks if going in to get an ibc from the floor. And poor for when leveling bucket to ground to goninto chip pile without picking up any crap. Can more be seen from a 4wd tractor or same issue? Teleporters frwst just boom out to see forks
  6. Allready have a 2wd loader tractor and ace for the logs etc but not enough puff for shoving into the wood chip. Gets really snotty up near woodchip pile! It may be better with some better rear boots on but not sure that will sort it? Main thing for me would be 4wd and loader for use on site. Ideally 85-90hp.
  7. What do people use in their yards for sorting out the logs, splitting, processing on processor. Shoving chip pile up. Lifting bags of logs etc? To me its part tractor loader and part teleporter! Teleporters are great and i use one with a decent bucket on that takes no time to shove chip pile up or load trailers / wagons etc What are 4wd tractor loaders like? Whats everyone use? Or do you have both? Cheers
  8. Has the winch been knocked up or is that how they came new? Looks huge! Would be good to see if there are any courses or training days for such equiptment and winching
  9. That looks ace! What he pulling it with? 956xl or 1056xl? Get that winch bought John
  10. Where is the man based? Surely a supplier off here could sort him out?
  11. Where is the OP based? Shame he didn't come back on as some info from the other side of the log trade. There are lots of different grades of suppliers out there.
  12. Some people change for age and looks but its a poor do when the newer models are a step backwards
  13. Theyre dropping them to 2.0ltr? For a drw tipper? Wow. I plan on keeping my transit for a while longer. Then its either a 5-7.5t truck and do license or a unimog. Would prefer the wagon though as dislike unimogs
  14. Very interesting post It doens't have to be your last either! Interesting to hear different opinions from different people

    New Truck

That must be lease purchase not finance? Big wack for deposit, vat payments as you go then big wack at end...
  17. Well my pto one had a foot pedal. If something got stuck youd press pedal which would move a roller / pulley away from the belts and backing tension off so the disc would t spin. Can you not do something similar principle
  18. I have a similar issue with my jensen. Though it still works ok so will leave as is lol The thing is you cannot weld a piece in as its only worn 2/3mm away or so? The plan for me would be to strip the machine a bit so you can get to the area. Then weld some lines on the area till complete cover of weld and built it up then use a flatting disc on grinder to smooth it a bit. All you can do id say
  19. Bet the metal is worn in the way to the anvil. So when you fit bew anvil it appears to sit up but thats where it should be. Either its been run for ages with a crap rounded anvil at some point or its ware and tare and metals worn. You could try chamfer the roller box side of the anvil

    Stihl 041AV

Not a lot at all im afraid. Put it back in the cupboard and forget about it. I have one a friends dad gave me will only keep as it was a gift from someone whom I think a lot about!
  21. I could do with doing something like that but would need to have it quite tall to stack ibc's 2 high either that or do away with the inc's all together How many cube can you get in that shelter loose? Cheers
  22. I was looking for a 2nd tipper to run aswell as thenone we have now but there seems to be not much about. Good luck with the search. Seems maybe people are keeping hold of their motors a while longer esp with how some of the new ones are. 5k should get you a good motor. If you went fwd youd get quiet a good motor at that price
  23. Stihl pole saw chainsaw head not oiling... sure i cleaned tank out ages ago and was fine. Drive gear seems ok. Its a really old head. Do they just wear out? Anything i can do? Im ready to just buy a new one soon!
