  1. Whats this?
  2. Usually 15mile but 20 at a push
  3. TRheyre a good bus simon and 170-180hp
  4. Yup, I worked with johnny walker off here when he had his 6.5t iveco. Ample space in the chip box. Dont over look these Simon. For me i think its the way i need to go. You may need bigger but thats your call
  5. How many cube do you get on the mog? Seen some teeny tiny boxes on them. Over rated i think. No good for me. And expensive to purchase and run
  6. We use a grain trailer on bigger jobs but takes up some space with trailer and tractor. Then you'd still need staff insured to drive the trucks (which i do) Doesnt seem to be a lot of bang for your buck at the moment in the 3.5t market
  7. My only issue for a bigger truck would be the bed loading height for handballing logs
  8. HA! Exact same thing i've been thinking yesterday and today. Jobs are always getting bigger and having to tip off is time off a site i do not need! Was thinking 6-6.5t iveco. Whats the point of keeping a 3.5t vehicle aswell if you go for the above? I always class an extra vehicle as 1k a year plus repairs I have a 4x4 and could buy a tipping trailer but there aint many that have a license nor many that can back a trailer competantly You open yourself up to staff issues with the second vehicle. Bigger truck i say.
  9. Its either the flux capacitor or there was nowhere to go to the loo on a job and an apprentice or brash dragger on their first day pee'd into the fuel tank
  10. Renault 5 gt turbo My old yamaha yz125 used to sound nice! Case 856xl has a nice turbo whistle to it
  11. Was supposed to be feb... it was on the cards though
  12. Hope its not that crappy pcb computer Mick Hope its a simple fix
  13. Beaver plant york
  14. Forst tr8 do have a good following by the sounds of it. Wouldnt get another jensen as not enough dealers. Did you know spectrum plant are opening a depot in leeds? Get one on demo. When i was at spectrum collecting my 230 i looked at the 280 but thought they looked a big lump! Esp next to a 190. Decent sized rollers and hopper though!!
  15. Yes. Most vehicles get recalls for safety products and all sorts. Shame said machines were not recalled. Even if bearing were sent out why should the customer whom bought a 30k inc vat chipper have to pay to have them fitted? This issue has been hovering for a while and on 2 seperate occasions on buying another chipper stopped me from buying this brand. Shame as ive alsway had good service with redwood on the jensens. A good dealer is important to me and why at some point i will be moving away from jensen machines.
  16. I cant Mick, ive seen it now
  17. Right... interesting. It was just when i had flywheel bearings done the other year they said something needed sorting to do with this and cant remember what it was lol. Do the flywheel belts stretch much? Might be worth fitting new belts and re tensioning seeing if this makes much difference
  18. Forgot they did the new small tracked bandits... wheres the info Dean? Depth sweep and engine etc. -also weight. Then the dreadded price
  19. Anyone? Thought this might be a question treequip could answer
  20. Im just wondering what is there that holds the engine in place so im not missing anything on the jensen a530t... There are two legs out of the chassis and bolts that the engine pivots on... then at the other side an adjuster that drops the engine to increase belt tension. The problem i have is that when i look at the chipper from the front through the radiator grill the engine is slumped down by a good inch at the front left corner... Ive recently had the radiator re cored as the fold down grills have rubbed on thw rad core due to the engine being slumped down and things not lining up.... Anyone ever had this? P.s any spelling issues etc is down to this crappy i phone and fat fingers!!!
  21. How many hours on the machine Stefan? Didnt you get it new?
  22. Also a machine is only as good as its back up. Some have crap aftersales and some take your money and run. Good luck
  23. I think in general you should take all opinions on here with a pinch of salt on here Simon. Look as what you need try some and make your decision suited to you
  24. Dont you worry im a tight yorkshire man too but i know where my time is better spent. Qrm sell for 4.00 a tooth so will try these next... I find they wear quite bad depending on the ground. They wear up the tungsten so would be a lot of grinding to get a good edge?
