  1. Grant avaliable from June. .. what a crock of shit
  2. I'm thinking downing tools is the way to go now.
  3. Yes. Delivery drivers essential. Checkout workers essential. NHS workers essential. Trimming trees bushes hedges or grass.... Come on
  4. All depends if your going to continue to work for now or down tools.for starters. Doubt youd get away with felling stuff etc just for economy and financial gain for people / developers
  5. We used to have the gd105 but wasn't too happy with it. Single leaf spring and those 13" tyres with big soft sidewalls.... Horrible trailer when full of logs would weave about behind you even when weight properly distributed. Was fine with just machines on. The gx106 is a lot better trailer. We have full ramp. Twin leaf spring and better wheels and tyres makes all the difference! Great trailer
  6. Sorry to mock a serious thread but its like trying to work this out also......
  7. Was going to flog my old rifle I kept as a cheapo if I decided to have a shoot again but still got it.
  8. You not get that sorted the tongue tie? My little lad had it and at hosp was a quick cut and done... Hasn't stopped eating like a horse since!!
  9. Have you ever got a quote for it? I remember years ago I had a quote for some ins... Can't remember payment but they would pay out 500 pcm.... I just laughed at them and said what do you think that's going to cover. Taking insurance out for no earnings is stupid in my opinion. Cut your cloth accordingly and be right with your brass
  10. Today's : Laura Ashley called in administrators... Car phone ware house closing all stores so 2900 jobs to go.... Lots been in a downward trend for a while and now this virus milarky...
  11. I though it would do nothing for us eggs.... Maybe 3 months freeze on mortgage etc Was hoping they'd knock council tax on the head etc.... Nothing about tax relief etc.... Most folk still have second payments in July and books will be going in soon.... No good if works slow and can't pay tax as you go. All they offered was grants for businesses to get into more debt to paddle out this shit storm. The removal of business rates sounds good but who's GNA go where and shop etc on a shut down? Crackers
  12. I used to run a little 8x4 plant trailer years ago and was ok at the time. Then got a 10x5 plant trailer.... miles better being that foot wider and still narrower than the truck. Then upgraded to a 10x6 better still! Yes it is a big bastrd and does stick out either side of the truck but would never go back. Every now and again think how a small plant trailer be ideal now and again but can't beat this big donkey 10x6
  13. Spot on and I gladly would. Shame all I have dealt with have been a shower of shite. Wouldnt buy a new machine again. For me prefer to run older and fix myself nowadays. Had fingers burnt too many times. Keep doing the good service!
  14. Ohh dear John! Least winch is on the front ey?
  15. Right cheers for that. So ok for this coming winters stock then after that only orders 2 cube and over or give up?
  16. Is this going to be a must from Apr 2021?
  17. If trees aren't garden management I'll eat my hat. Hedges etc. Trimming, planting etc all round should be covered under that surely... To.me it is anyhow
  18. Red diesel to be abolished for most sectors but retained for agriculture is how it reads. So should still be avaliable
  19. I would take it as this yes
  20. Still says Hort and forestry so I would say tree surgery etc should be ok
  21. I've been thinking about getting a small battery ground saw for next to the chipper etc and when lads need to just snip bits up once lowered. Only really for prep for chipper to be fair. What is there out there that's reasonable? I've seen some Stihl at 300 odd quid but is there anything cheaper that would do the job? Lads may hate this idea so might not even get used much at all. I have no interest In any other battery gear so using batteries for other things would not apply. Thanks in advance.
  22. Another side point to this is why are we paying road duty on unleaded fuel when it's for the saws and stump grinder etc? That takes the piss too
  23. Exactly....all them machines full of white diesel.. A diesel thiefs wet dream. They won't give a toss about how much damage they do to get it out. Lost fuel cap, drill hole in a tank, rip off panels... Hundreds in repairs possibly each time. Then what? Insurance claim? Insurance rockets for the whole sector then and will become the norm. Bad enough keeping red in the tank let alone white.
  24. You use red at the mo in your planyt\ digger? You be happy to put white in it?
