  6. Just wondering what is so special about the ms200 rear handle saw? seems quite a few people have been and still are looking for them. Cheers
  7. This is interesting Driver's Licences Holders of driving licences issued before July 1996 and providing that they have Group A or if after 1990, category B, are entitled to drive a vehicle and trailer combination up to a maximum train weight of 8.25 tons. Holders of car licences issued after July 1996 can tow a 750kg unbraked trailer or if heavier trailers are towed, a vehicle and trailer combination of up to 3500 kg. Assuming that the trailer and its load are lighter than the towing vehicle. i.e. a 2000 kg. vehicle with a 1500 kg trailer. Our super lightweight Derby horse trailer that is plated at 1700 kg. and has a capacity of 1025 kg. This can be towed by an 1800kg car on a new licence or the trailer can also be plated at 1300kg if only one horse is loaded for use with lighter towing vehicles. Holders of new licences can upgrade to tow larger trailers by taking another test, B+E for trailers or a better option would be a C1 licence for 7.5 tonne vehicles which would allow them to use trailers up to 3500kg behind suitable vehicles or 750kg behind a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
  8. My old chipper
  9. Greaseable flywheel bearings you need a trailer test to tow it though because its braked
  10. Just checked and your 220 miles away
  11. Theyre a good bus for what they cost and they do the job well! The daft thing is i just put an alloy back on mine back end of last year and it weighs just under 2 ton! Bought an iveco 2002 as better refinement, steering brakes etc(crap payload)..... miss the ldv though, advertised it but not sure as want to sell, but its a waste to have it stood, but it's paid for itself, could be a stump grinder though? Ldv's Rule
  12. Yup try the fuel filter, mostlikely slight water content then freezing causing the problems. Love ldv's Shame i'm selling mine, don't want to though as its a cracking machine!
  13. With mine i just put them straight to work. My 200t was dug into a big nasty black poplar takedown on its first outing. Still going strong as to be expected!!

    Trailers

Has to be an "unbraked" 750kg gross weight, meaning including the weight of the trailer. the logs and weight you'll have to work out yourself, to many variables
  17. Have yet to look at the list, but i'd be wanting to work for a small company, where staff is valued and respected
  18. excellent, what did you get? I've had a chipper since nov 2010 best purchase ever! changed it sept 2011 for a 150 tw
  19. Good stuff james Did you have an old winch? and bought a new one or is this your first? seem to remember you using a winch before in a job/vid.....
  20. that before or after tax?
  21. I was given a Dolmar ps-400 saw the other day. It was apparently not working or so i thought..... anyhow the chap had bought a new one and given the old one to me. When i got the saw i emptied the fuel out, popped some fresh in and and had a quick look about it and got it started on the 4th pull excellent. I whipped the sprocket cover off gave it a clean in there, filled the oil res up and started the saw to check for oil delivery, which it did, i dressed the bar and put back together. All it needs is to sharpen the chain and its good to do some work. Looks quite mint if i were to give it a good clean! stickers clean etc as are plastics I've had a look and found out it to be 2.3hp and the equivilant to a stihl ms210 is this right? if it turns out to be a little belter, may treat it to a fresh chain without them safety links All in all i'm happy and love tinkering in my spare time
  22. Good afternoon, for starters please don't take my title the wrong way, i do not mean there are no good companies in the north west! What i do mean is: Are there any companies in the north west, that are good to work for, do interesting jobs and good to learn from? to work with a team that is keen to work and all aspects of the job? Did that make any sence? Currently looking for another company to sub to within 25 miles of barnoldswick, lancs would like to go north than south Cheers

    stihl 084av

Go for it, especially when the the 500 euro's will be retail and they haven't cost you that much!! Look at how much it cost you to produce that volume and it will look a different proposition! it'll look a bargain
  24. and 70 a day at a full week of 5 days is 350 a week which isn't a bad wage straight out of college.... learn work hard and enjoy it!
