This is excellent findings. A shame for such a nice tree. This is a reminder to me though of how careful you have to be when managing a tree with fungal infection.... Even with a substancial reduction even if you had have done it before it fell..... 1. Would it have been safe to do so? 2. How much time would you have thought it would buy the tree? Not much by the looks of the roots or lack of I suppose the course of action was due to where the tree was, for it would have been managed differently in a town location

Pallets on top will do All about airflow and keeping rain off the top. Not bothered about rain hitting the sides, also we are in uk so sun is a luxury... wouldnt worry about that.either

As you will know some wood is worse than others.... i wouldnt worry... that pesky birch always goes part mouldy Throw some pallets on top and then put a tarp over the top and weigh it.down

Some gone but plenty left. Mixed weather yet... sunny at times etc and mild.... when it sets in cold should pick up more sales. Lots of people doing logs around here at the moment so competition rife. Was doing a job today amd noticed someone 'new' delivering some logs.... couldnt resist but test them on the way out.... 36 - OL on the stihl moisture meter. You could tell they were peed wet through from 25 yards away! Why do people buy these?

Haha think theres 3 torx 30 securing to bell housing around the shaft from recolation.

Dealers get approx 30-35% off rrp They usually give 20-25% if your good On another note.... i rang a dealer today about a saw.... they quoted rrp straight away.... rang someone else who was 50.00 cheaper.... yet i've seen tonight someone selling sane saw for 77.00 cheaper than the rrp!

Yes. This kind of situation goes sour.... esp the part where you put your bill in... they say.hmmmm its a bit much n knock you... Needless to say i dont work for that company anymore..... The more i think of it... ive had enough of working for other companies / subbing!
