  4. Hi there all, Was asked to have a look at a big sycamore today... only just looked now its got this fruiting at the base..... Big split in the stem and its got a big rotten cavity. Just wondering what the fungi is? havent yet checked books.. cheers chris

  9. Its a shame those three trees have been ruined at some point... Yes i know we are talking about the middle one... but just by looking at the other trees you can tell how the customers had set their standards / desires for how the tree is to look
  10. I had a vermeer 620i i bought as first chipper. Great little machine! And for what i had it it i wish id have kept it. Used it for a year. Sold it for same money! Then bought a tw 150 still used machine but its a great chipper

  13. I had to price an area the other day 12 x 4 m dig out shrubs cart away.... top up soil 3 ton ish... then turf.... day and a half for 2 blokes leisurley away... obvioursly cant cart shrubs away and carry 3 t of soil at once so two trips... another trip to get turf etc How much for that?
  14. Is it held all the way Accross the stem? Or just one side? If one side you can wrap a chain round a certain way as to roll it off the stump if you winch 90 degrees to the stem if you get me. Once its off the stump if it doesnt roll out of the tree. You can then winch it back. Use pulleys to get a good pull

  17. the bark damage does look quite severe like some ones hacked at it with a little axe! too many flat edges on the bark to where its missing. Also glad agg221 said about cardboard, recommended this the other day to a customer

  20. Used one. For light crown lifling etc.... Personally dont see what the fuss is about. Needing a tool to do fuel and oil caps. Chain adjuster in chain brake cover sounded like it had a broken exhaust... also with the compression it takes one hell of a pull to start.... I dont want one at all

  25. Was re asked about this job this morning! Never got round to it somehow..... Clients wanting to sell the house, so i'm back looking for answers There is also a weeping willow in the garden, the client keeps clearing the stuff but thinks its going to put off potential buyers which it probably is! Not sure i want to get involved... don't want to transfer any back up home on gear or on my person...
