  1. what you mean heavier border? taller thicker rail? or?? didn't go for a taller border as it would have looked daft and out of place.
  2. Stumps have been ground out, waiting for grass area to die off, then will be rotivated, raked out, pick all rubbish (roots/stones etc) off surface, then seed

  4. Put some rails up around the garden to define borders, put down membrain and then plenty of woodchip

Basically, lots of shrubs to knock back, plenty of conifers removed. Couple of photo's of clearance afterwards clearing round stumps etc and getting ready for stump grinding, all the grass/rough patch has been strimmed, mown and sprayed off :
  6. Yup. Ive had vans sign written in the past. Lots of info on etc... hen changed vans... lost out on money from sign writing plus pain to remve so much. Now its an external board bolted to sides. Name. Message n number
  7. Alternator should charge at 14v when running. Check battery when running. Check all earths. Check leads to starter and solenoid connection.

  10. Wait for then scan. Looks nothing more than damage from a while ago and the tree has put some reaction wood around the wounds... callus... See what scan says due to no fungi present

  12. Hi there does anyone know if the 3.5t and the 5.0t chassis are the same? Same width etc.... Seen a body off a 5.0 t. Wondered if it would fit my 3.5 t truck... Cheers
  13. yeah think a rayco 1620 or 1625 junior would be next for me... saw a vermeer 186 for sale and didn't like the look of it.... i'll get one, one day Currently using a laski type grinder, no drive , 25hp kohler twin with multi tip head

    Used sand a lot for leveling and drainage. Always rotivated first, raked out and used sand for leveling.
  19. Mines a 2000 tw 150dbh right on change over time. It has curved fins. Wondered if they wore thin and didnt chuck so far?

  25. Just some pics from last week on subbie climbing takedown of a cypress. Lots of targets x2 oil tanks directly underneath, telephone wire and electric supply to house running right under canopy, located very close to the building/roof. Some pipes and other wires running round the front and back of the tree to be avoided, and another oil tank to the right of the tree but a bit further round. We did this tree when it was very very windy and it was a struggle as there wasnt any protection from other trees! Everything lowered down to even the smallest branches, all natural crotch lowered as this company does, thus pegs on the stems, still to lower off one of the front stems and deal with the back one. Normal wire strop just a little short to go round the back stem. From the rear stem i've took a 12ft top off and then an 8ft log.
