  11. Lol me and missus got a campervan and testing the water Should the tree have been retained? Is my question. All the weight combined with possible pocket of rot due to polyporous in one of the main stem with all that leverage near the house....
  12. Think you would need to sell for 80.00 plus for it to be worth it no lower or it would be counter productive

  18. No, other end of barnoldswick Also seen a few other sprayed dots on tree's but no action taken place with them
  19. Whilst on my holls up near grassington I spotted a reduced / rounded over large mature sycamore Any how i looked over the fence to see an old dessicated bracket on the floor, which i was thinking was polyporus. It looks to have come from an old pruning wound / cavity located on the stem near the roadside, 2 metres or so above the main fork. I've seen how polyporus works on sycamores and have seen some extensive white rot in the stems going up to 1.5 - 2 metres from the fruiting body. Although the pictures are bad, they do not show the lean towards the house and the "weight" that is still up there and the size of the tree! I know the sail has been reduced but curious to see how you would have managed the tree?
  20. the rot seems to be at the tension side of the tree opposite to the lean wonder how long it will stand like this, and who's duty it is to sort it out! does mellea cause hollowing of the stem or just the soft rot? Just thinking of when diagnosing others i.e when checking with mallet etc to sound for if its hollow cheers
  21. No the best pictures etc.... Also you could poke your finger right into the side of the tree
  22. Hi there. Spotted this the other day when walking dog. Quite big at the base this ash. Bark fallen off. Very soft white rot. Desicated fruit bodies and some behind the bark. No rhizomorphs bu thinking honey fungus? Will the tree have had some damage at the base for this to happen or is this tree been a long standing house for a colony of fungi? P.s will post pics soon. Bloody phone!
  23. Yes theres nothing wrong with endfloat play on the crank ive had a few 200 like this and they were fine No room for thrust washers in a 2st engine
  24. Hi there kim Thanks for the reply. What husky models do you suggest? Many thanks chris
  25. Hi all Just wondering what saw is best to start out with carving? Budget saw. Was thinking : stihl 170,171,181 or husky 135? Not going to be the best on vibes.... was thinking the 170,171 was good due to picco micro mini.... or the 181 shares the same chains as 200t! Husky seems a lot of cc for the money and 3/8s Would be used as a chipper saw also Many thanks chris
