  1. hi i have one of there hydraulic splitters had hard use for 6 years and no problems.
  2. nuffield owner club do spares also sparex and vapormatic do parts .
  3. Hi we have an old international 574 with the same problem so sump ends up full of water as it leeks past liner seals. dont waste your time putting engine into tractor. i have had a look on facebook modified majors page some bloody good info on there regarding majors. cheers chris
  4. hi has the guy fitted the correct liners for your block? the liners with one seal are smaller o.d than the liners with double seal. cheers chris
  5. weak flasher unit on truck ,does you mates trailer lights work when pluged into his own truck ? if they do then its your truck and not a trailer problem. cheers chris

Hi All can you recommed a log splitter for doing billets must be vertical with winch or other means of log lift ,quick cycle time,would like standalone power supply eg engine or electric saves useing a tractor and cheaper to replace when knackered . I have looked on youtube and the nett but wondered what you guys use and why ?. thanks chris:confused1:

  11. Hi Woodworks do you have to keep dressing the bar because it is lubracated by hydraulic oil and not chain oil. cheers chris

Hi all the tractors we use for firewood processing are vintage 1948 field marshall series2 1956 ferguson t20 tvo driveing hycrack splitter 1958 massey 35 driving kisa super combi processor 1974 international 474 loader with grab and mcconnel rear forklift 1975 international 574 driveing rytec 2 metre 25 tonne splitter and towing trailers. ALL the above tractor are easy to repair and parts are cheap and they do not go down in value. cheers chris

Hi i have been registered since the start only ever had customer enquiries for lorry loads of cord wood and NOT logs (WHICH WE ARE REGISTERED TO SELL) .just wondering pros and cons of not belonging in the future may hold. When you read reports in the forestry journal from firewood merchant they say it has inproved there sales ( rhi and woodsure ) i have been registered to both and it has not made any difference.to my sales. What are your thoughts ? cheers chris

  23. Hi was thinking about hurdles,walking stick blanks,charcoal ,selected wood for turning blanks ,thatching spars and possible selected wood for knife hadles. thanks chris P.S anthying else suggested that will produce some income.
  24. Hi Guys Thanks for the replies (sorry for the delaied responce computer died ). I am currently processing about 200 tonnes of firewood per year from bought in cord wood and would like something to run alongside with the logs so am trying to gain info on coppicing / woodland crafts ect (not much info on the net ) . Any suggestions regarding how to get started eg courses ,books ,anything will be greatfully recived. thanks chris
