  1. The prusik loop on the pulley of my pulleysaver from tefulberger is sewn, not spliced or tied
  2. Prob because they have an experienced level 3 technician checking everything before they start, rather than a newby fresh out of a crash course under pressure to get the job done by an employer.
  3. expensive shoes? or have I got that wrong
  4. Had both types on entrance gates.
  5. If you want a job doing ask a busy man.

  9. Had that happen a few times when working on phone mast sites. Chainsaw files can be handy or a level 6 key(bolt croppers). All superseded by cordless grinders.
  10. True, but they are only going one way and generally do not have branches to get in the way wrap around. Used twin ropes for Ice climbing in the 80's but mainly to share the load if you fell on very sketchy anchors.
  11. Suppose they will fine me for forcing myself to climb on one rope. Same goes for loler, fine me for forcing myself to climb on untested kit, if I have any doubts on kit it gets binned and replaced.
  12. As Shaggy says, ours is used for shunting trailers chippers around on site and in the yard, loading over the side of high side ifor, scraping up sawdust etc. Very handy piece of kit. will rip up lawns if careless but plywood boards as turning areas sorts that. 13. Don't tell him, then he can claim to know nothing about it and carry on safely as before.

What blindly following sat navs, watching videos on their phones etc. Just drive down a dual carriageway/motorway and watch them all in the overtaking lane approach a junction at the 100m marker peel off cutting everyone up to get to the junction, that sat nav just told them to take. This is an improvement your having a laugh. no idea of what's around them or watching the road ahead.

I might be old, but I don't see much improvement in driving standards. Look at the accident/ fatality rate for newly past drivers.

I would say that's abroad, French rules apply.
  19. Not what I was told. But I stand corrected, I will stick to land rovers.
