  1. ive added my bits from experience Fiona. Hows the drilling work going??
  2. Terrible hated every second of that. Not one good thing to say other than Nice, very cool:thumbup1:
  3. We've been getting constant gust of around 35mph in Norfolk all day. Apparently its going to pick up to around 47mph tomorrow for us.
  4. Im glad this thread popped up i was going to ask the same question. Cheers Dak. The PI can annoy me a little bit with my SJ on it, mainly the bounce seems to stop the free feed sometimes.
  5. Mac or PC? Mac - imovie is a good start. PC - Videopad although there are loads and loads.
  6. I love it how you used natural fracture techniques on the tips.
  7. Gave a Willow a good kicking today as it started to split in the middle. Nice quick job thanks to the high gusts. Halfway up and drop the tops:001_rolleyes:
  8. Sorry i thought you were talking about removals, no dig or offence suggested i hope or at least that wasn't my aim.
  9. Feb 2012 no price as yet but couldn't see it being more than £50 tops.
  10. I thought you'd be different to that. I have no problem getting down from the tree when i've finished and straight into the thick of it. Yes at times its annoying but sometimes you have to crash it down and help out, two hands cutting, sending and chipping are better than one overwhelmed losing your timeframe groundsman.
  11. Yeah only through pole climbing. Nice fella.

  12. One doesn't go on about how big and awesome he was. The other comes down harness off and helps out.
  13. A quick show of the Hero and Hero2 next to each other. Note the cases are the same but i have a prototype lens kit on on of them.
  14. All good: Right Hero960 = Full HD but at a max HD range of 960p Hero = Full HD up to 1080p Hero2 = Full HD up to 1080p but with 2 x the software rendering power. If you have the wedge get the Hero2 as its unreal. Hero one is mega and i still use it the most. Hero960 is a cheaper version for people who don't want to spend the clams for the other two. Hope this helps. P.S there are a number of GoPro reviews kicking about and some Gopro V's Drifts
  15. I was going to put a picture up of mine Ted (Easy Lift Guy) sent me. So i might as well jump on this thread (if you don't mind) Arrived today looks like a handy bit of kit to be fair as it can be a pain trying to find that socket or screwdriver for the saw. Thanks again Ted, Ian
  16. Nice work, tight drop zone. Got to love a bottle jack. I need to get a thick plate added to mine as a few times its pushed into the wood.

    Wages??

I earn a lot more money per yearly turnover by doing tree work than my consultancy BUT my profit margins are higher and my overheads are lower from doing it (consultancy). I think my percentage is 40% consultancy and 50% tree work 10% quoting.
  18. Hd Hero2 for the same price as others its software is miles a head, but in fairness the Hd hero1 is very good, so is the Drift HD170. iMovies is good and easy to use. Final cut pro X is awesome but costs nearly £200. If you want to upload your movies quickly if using moves or pro cut get compressor 4 as it makes them smaller files. Motion 5 if you want to create your own effects. Hope this helps. P.S for those who are not on a mac video pad is super easy to use.
  19. You'll get a woodmizer from ben burgess, chalky only has a lucas mill.
  20. Just a random question, you didn't have a guy Andrew Nicol work for you once?

  21. Hello, I know theres been a couple of threads on this but that was a while back. Im curious to how many people: A) Own one B) How often do you use it C) Your opinion on it. Kind of looking into my SRT a fair bit at the moment.
  22. I still have my old one in my kit bag just for those platform jobs
  23. New ways of making my life easier on the job. You only have to scroll through the video thread and you can pick up a quick hint or two.
  24. Yeah apparently for comfort it blows everything else out of the water:biggrin: I wonder if Matt would give us a review:lol:
