    Rats!

side by side 4.10. aint seen one of them for years:thumbup1:
  2. I,m married.........what could be worse?
  3. I used to split my arb arising into billets ,stack them on pallets, leave covered foe approx. a year and then saw them into logs with the sawbench. To much handling imo. I now chuck it all into a pile, leave it for a year then ring it all up and split as I need it.
  4. I do like that:thumbup1: how much weight can it safely lift?
  5. Agree:thumbup1: had a customer in the summer that insisted on buying the materials, when they arrived the boards (450) were 6" to long, no rebates in the posts for the capping , he spent 2 days off work cutting the rebates and boards because I refused to. Funnily enough though he gave me a £50 tip? But as said if the customer buys the materials at least your not at fault if the posts rot etc.
  6. eastenders with chainsaws
  7. Why not do a couple of hours work erecting, then you,ll know how long it will take you, then give a price. If its a big job you could catch a cold by guessing it as youv obviously never done this type of fencing before.
  8. As you have a tractor, then yes, don't know which is best though.
  9. Second hand stihl then re sell when finished with it?
  10. Exactly:thumbup1: you cant get scammed if you pay on collection
  11. cant be arsed this year.
  12. Price will depend on what your going cut it with, could take a couple of hours or all day.
  13. Couldn't agree more, trouble is you,d be surprised just how many people don't agree hence the popularity of supermarkets. As an example I was in my local pub a couple of years ago and I was talking to a few blokes about the butchers in the area and which one we thought was best, no joke , one bloke said "you cant beat fray bentos, they are quality" Says it all really.
  14. I think he,s wrong
  15. Tescos etc are here to stay , that's life , just support your local butcher/baker/farm shop as much as you can, as said supermarkets havnt killed the high street, people differing ways of life have.
  16. Forgot a bout charity shops and poundlands and the odd betting shop
  17. But steve the local high street now only has takeaways or hairdressers
  18. I do some work for a farm that is owned by a very large chicken meat producer (5 million killed every week) These chicks are bought in cramped in massive sheds (as on hugh fernleys programme) and slaughtered at 6 weeks . These are the kind of chickens you would buy at 2 for a fiver. They make 28p profit per bird we get 2 chickens for a fiver, everyones happy, god only knows what we are putting in our bodies.
  19. Lets face it most shoppers are women, not being sexist but they watch the adverts and believe that Tesco/sainsburys etc sell all the best quality meat etc. My wife shops at a Tesco , but she passes a brilliant farm shop selling local quality veg and fruit, and an excellent butchers but never uses one of them and now im going to punch her in the face:laugh1: joking apart a lot of people men or women seem to think that only supermarkets sell food?
  20. Agree, but its not just Tesco killing the butchers/bakers/greengrocers etc its peoples different way of life as opposed to say the 60,s. They havnt time to go to 3 or 4 different shops,so its one big hit at the supermarket. Plus getting parked at any butchers etc is near impossible.
  21. Full face clear Perspex mask with thin rubber riveted to the bottom of the mask to stop any stones/dog mess hitting your chest and rebounding into your face, I found was the best set up.
  22. Playing his playstation 8 whatever, as we speak.
  23. :thumbup1:Everythings fixable:thumbup1:
  24. Totally believe it, the pulling power of those old beasts is awesome, bearing in mind that they are bog standard and can out pull any of todays standard tractors.
