  1. I use a Makita cordless for the small roots, its the big ones deep down that are the problem, not saying their impossible to remove, its just that as you get older you start looking at ways of making life a bit easier.
  2. I was hoping there was a tool that fixed on to my disc cutter / chainsaw that was like a mini stump grinder with tungsten carbide tips.
  3. Thanks lads , but I was hoping there was a magic tool out there , which didn't involve lots of hard graft:laugh1:
  4. Been fencing for years and never come across anything to grind roots out at depth, but thought the younger blokes might know of any new tools. I think your idea is about the best, have you seen the size of some of those polish lads?

  6. We all know what utter pigs roots can be especially the big ones when they are right where your digging your post hole and around a foot deep. My question: is there anything on the market to deal with this problem?

  20. spot on ! Some people will walk through machine gun fire rather than walk a different route .
  21. I certainly would , in my experience agriculture is a law unto its own, bald tyres/overloading, if most tractor/implement set ups were looked on the same as lorries they,d be taken of the roads years ago.
  22. Vosa wont go down the agricultural route, and I doubt theres a traffic cop in the country that knows the agg laws.
  23. Welcome the hse world, think they are curing one problem , but create 3 new ones.
  24. Obviously a hse thing, could it be that the darker nights are drawing in??
  25. The young drivers you see on these tractors are not your run of the mill youngsters, many have been driving tractors for years and are more than safe on the road.
