  11. I was thinking of wheat/rape etc harvest, yeah spud harvest can be very muddy, I,m on the farmers side , but I must admit their a law onto their own, as for mud on road signs, I don't they even bother with those.
  12. In truth there shouldn't be any mud at all coming off of tractor/trailer wheels in harvest, especially this dry year that we,ve had.

Farmers seem to be a law unto their own, do as they likeys really, what other industry can employ 17 year olds to drive 24 ton machines on the road running on red diesel and no mot or road tax, and get paid by the government to not grow any crops?. Clearing the road of mud sometimes isn't fesable, the field could well be 20 odd miles away from the farm, some of our fields (who I harvest for) are 35 miles from the farm.

  24. I put mine on ebay mick, as I remember they got a fair price. Round my way no one goes ferreting anymore, but they do in other parts of the country and ebay reaches them.
