  1. may of got this wrong, I was going by the fact that I can split 5 loads a day (and deliver them) a day easily. So a day to do your figures can be achieved with my splitter. This includes dinner and a little nap in the afternoon, sorry powernap.

  3. Are they stems from an old stump? if so maybe the thinking was to reduce the weight on each stem, looks a bleeding mess though as most pollards do.
  4. Seems to me that if a vehicle is agg registered there are no laws, not until theres an accident that is
  5. Mines a 3200 maybe that's why it does a good 70kph. In agriculture ,especially harvest time all the laws on weight etc are ripped up and thrown in the bin, I doubt very much if a copper pulled me over he/she would know the laws on agri vehicles anyway,
  6. Basically put agriculture is a law unto its own, no other hauling industry can run its hgv,s on red diesel, employ 17 year olds to drive 20 odd ton vehicles at 40mph, pay no road tax. Then get paid by the government to not grow crops (fallow), personally I wouldn't have it any other way.
  7. Certainly keep you fit though:thumbup1:
  8. I drive a fastrac for harvest it does 70kph/43mph so I easily keep up with the maximum speed limit in built up areas, but there will always be someone who has got to overtake simply because your a tractor.Ive had people pull out on me at the very last second and if the trailer hadn't got good air brakes they would be dead. You could make tractors do 70mph and it wouldn't make any difference to some peoples attitude ," its a tractor ,ive got to get in front of it!"
  9. It is true mick, it happened to me , I was making my face to look like brad pitt when suddenly the wind changed direction and im left looking like him.

  15. I was well impressed with the stats, the price put me off, especially as it was the first and untested on the market
  16. We are bought up with sayings such as make hay while the sun shines etc, but as you get older you realise that the saying that makes the most sense is youth is wasted on the young. Is it just me or are most youngsters now totally useless when it comes to manual labour.
  17. If you look at my pic a few posts back I have overcome the problem of logs etc getting caught behind the wheelarches. I did think of converting my hilux to a tipper , but as I only do about 80 loads in the winter and fencing the rest of the year the loadhandler £180 was a perfect solution.
