  2. To be honest this may come out worse than it sounds I dont no but yes, We take it to a yard where the landowner there burns his 'waste' and allows us to do the same, but weather he has a liscense to burn it or not im not sure. He is a pretty big landowner so I presume so:confused1:
  3. No wind up I dont drive or have anyhting to do with things like that because I am an employee it was just an inquiry as this is confusing.
  4. top handled are suppose to be good looked at statistics compared with a 020 and there reasonably similar power to wieght about the same but with the added knowlage that its japenses and will last
  5. So when you do a conny hedge and chuck it all in dumpie bags then on to the transit then off to a private burn site the driver or the firm should have a waste carriers liscence? Ive never even heard of it til the other day?
  6. Do you mean price work as in you get paid by the number of trees etc like a utility arborist gets paid by metres etc. Why are they so bad?
  7. I keep geting arbtalk and mens health forums mixed up:lol:
  8. job on arbjobs in croydon for trainne climber or groundsman gritsowood and tom or summing
  9. Need to find it out for yourself. this question has been asked a million and a half times in the short time ive been on here. You will need to try both out if you have an opportunity and see what you like. If you are a profesionsal groundie then dont go lower than a usky 346 or a stihl 260. But seriously mate do a thread search youll get millions of answers.
  10. But the website is very good I like it. Although as others have said alot going on and very busy dont rely think drastic change is needed though.
  11. There is a ladder in a tree in two of your photos:sneaky2:
  12. Ignore me I just re-read Tree surgeon essex's post properly. sorry
  13. Think he means have a small bussiness card like tree surgeons would say tee services and landsacpers gardeners would say gardners and landscapers with your name and contact details. Might of got it wrong:confused1:
  14. Look good to me If I needed a landscaper I would think it was profesionaly done etc. But you are right you need your website there
  15. Are you sure it was 5k maybe you or him got wires crossed or something theres quotes that are over the top and then there is this:confused1:. Why not sub contract it to another local firm? Where are you based?
  16. Think he done it for 100 and said he broke even on it:confused1:
  17. I know how you feel Second I done a neighbours hedge easy stuff just do the top then the other nieghbour came out and said how much for you to just do the side of a 15-20 metre hege I said 15 quid I was almost out of fuel so theres a fiver to get some more and then 10a for what would of been half hours work and she said no and said she was shocked I didnt bother explaining why then felt guilty then just thought that If I had done it for any less I would of been so annoyed at working for so little What would you guys of done there, was that to much? should I of explained? Should I have jsut done it at a cheaper rate?
  18. Wonderful work somethings monney cant buy:thumbup1:
  19. I recently had a 'heated' discussion with someone who had just qualifed in climbing about who works the hardest in tree surgeery. My first part of the arguement that it doesnt matter your there to earn monney for yourself/the boss etc I then said secondly that being on the ground isnt easy when yourwith a fast experienced climber or when you have a massive drag or use a tiny chipper that cant deal with the stuff your chipping. On this willow reduction job it was at a bottom of a garden and no acces for chipper so it was about a 70m or so drag to chipper up a slippery thin slop and the little jo beau wernt on fine form. I personally think that although climing is difficult on the ground on that particular job was the hardest part, fair play to the climber when he finished he was geting stuck in. But as I said at the top it doesnt matter who works hardest.
  20. and qualifications exsperince I suppose is desirable
  21. There is nothig I hate more than being a groundie and seeing the climber come down and wacth the clean up. Dont take it the wrong way he works hard indeed and can understand when he stops for water etc but some take it to far IMO and sometimes just think there to good for the rakes and dragging
  22. to be fair theres not been many lookers in the south east everyone got jobs down here:001_tt2:
  23. No worries. you had any luck with your groundie issues yet?
  24. cool pics must of been a great fun job that
  25. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/15579-free-lance-climber.html bloke on here from east sussex could try him?
