  1. a couple of years ago i was asked to deliver a load of firewood to an address some 30 miles away, they were happy to pay delivery so i arrived in the dark to find a couple waiting with wheelbarrows ready to take straight into the front room, slightly bemused i helped them wheel it inside where they stacked it all round the room leaving the gap between the fire and the telly, they were really nice people and had two motorbikes in the kitchen, my woman gives me grief if theres one chainsaw in the kitchen:001_smile:
  2. do any of the neighbours now have a fantastic view that they didn't have yesterday?
  3. cut the stumps lower and have some sweet firewood, doesn't sound right leaving gaps that the beasts can get through, how big were the trees?
  4. what? and let the water in through the cab rear window seals? i'd get me spare clothes / gloves wet:thumbup:
  5. so if i have a huge carbon footprint does that mean i have a huge carbon manhood:001_tt2:
  6. but can he reverse a small trailer up a tight 90degree driveway with double parked cars from the left with steamed up windows in the dark? with onlookers and cars waiting to pass, not dissing the guy but he cant even dress himself properly (odd shoes),
  7. not really survival stuff but i like to eat yew berries, lime leaves, hawthorn leaves, chickweed, fungi and loads of other stuff as i find them and the seasons are right, i'd like to think i could survive for a bit if i had to,
  8. now go split firewood with an axe till you're not angry anymore:angry:
  9. cool cambium saver idea, looks like a piece of plastic cable protector as a sleeve for the rope.
  10. does the greenmech have enough warning stickers on it? is there one that says 'warning reading too many warnings will result in a false sense of impending doom'? i wanted to peel my stickers off as i hate being told what to do..
  11. what a bummer having to climb back up 40ft eh? glad you're ok
  12. thats a near miss then:scared:, did you have to dismantle saw to remove the wadding?
  13. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcvrL9bgeDs]YouTube - landy mud bath[/ame] the landy will do this all day everyday:thumbup:
  14. nah he's just remembering his first knot hole:001_tt2:
  15. i'd get some scaffolding off a local builder for the day and frame over the greenhouse then work from that nice and safe:001_smile:, or just tiptoe up with a silky all sneaky like so it doesn't see you coming:thumbup:
  16. go to egypt for a fortnight, eat everything served especially the buffet food, i still had loose bowels three months later and lost two and a half stone, been piling it on a bit lately so maybe its time to go back:toilet:
  17. two cube crate on a standard looking pallet? thought it would be taller..
  18. do you just mean off road on rutted tracks? or properly off road in the woods? any 4x4 will cope with rutted tracks but only a few will go through the thick stuff loaded up and last for years doing it, what weight of logs/people/kit are you going to be carrying?
  19. no mine comes in from the puddle on the cab roof as my weight dips the suspension down as i jump in, it waits till i'm about to slam the door then drenches me:thumbup: yours sounds like the seal between the windscreen and bulkhead..
  20. i'd rather the brakes did their job and sacrificed themselves to make me safe than last for years doing little:001_cool: more friction? yes please:001_smile:
  21. its down for up so if you fall on the lever you dont get the chop, it goes up instead..
  22. makes sense:001_tt2:
  23. cool toy:thumbup:
  24. cut through until you see the cut starting to close up, then pull the saw out and start the next cut, when you get far enough along the log or get to a place with a decent gap underneath you can cut all the way through and roll the log over to finish the last bits.
  25. looks like mrs price has been driving it, check out the kerbed tyres and front wing:thumbup:
