  1. i think i saw that before it got scorched there, i'll check them tomorrow as i know they are all still covered in snow/sawdust that hasn't melted yet and most of the locks are frozen too:thumbup:
  2. back out to the tool bunker then..brr, when they were new there was a paper sticker with a number on, would that not be it too?
  3. im trying to find the serial numbers on all my machines for my records, but there are more than one long number on the sticker.. which one is the serial no? i have blanked the numbers out using microsoft paint in case any lowlifes are watching:001_tt2: thanks. Ed.
  4. complete guess without seeing the motor, i'd blame an airlock and look for a bleed cap high up on the cooling system pipework near the engine. remove cap and pour in coolant while running till all air is expelled, then top up bottle as normal. Ed.
  5. i have a client who run a fleet of maybe 12 of them, all estate cars, all black, and swear by them:thumbup1: of course you can always pull the badges off and hide your shame:thumbup:
  6. oh dear, the baby landrover has fallen over, pick it up, give it a cuddle and pop it back on its feet, it'll be out chasing the grown up landrovers again in no time:001_smile:
  7. an air locker will only help with the traction available, poor biting tyres aren't going to find better traction with an air locker, get good tyres first then maybe an air locker to give beastly traction. i used to do a bit of grasstrack racing and the cars with the knobblyest tyres always won:thumbup:
  8. i saw a transit on weds on my way to work, it had a tonne builders bag right at the back, he was trying to pull out of a very gentle sloping road and was spinning the wheels for ages:thumbup: if he had decent tyres or all terrains then he wouldn't have spun as much and we could all have got on with our journey, don't be that guy..get the good tyres:thumbup1:
  9. i enjoyed that.. thanks, so should i be saying funjai too?
  10. if they are real bfg's then i'd go for it, tranny pattern tyres are pants, also bfg's probably have a higher load rating than your regular cheapies, no contest really:001_cool:
  11. mine (300tdi disco) took about ten seconds of cranking this morning before i pressed the accelerator and it fired.. very cold this side of the valley, why can't i live that side in the sun?
  12. after eight pages.. the answer is... you do have your foot to the floor on the accelerator don't you?
  13. the nato has four mounting bolt holes and the ball has two, i'll measure mine tomorrow to see if the bolthole centres are similar, unless someone knows off hand..
  14. can you do weds next week (subject to weather of course) , let me know thanks

  15. one of them free magazines for local businesses came through the door today and just before i chucked it into the fire i noticed a company offering a vhs to dvd or harddrive etc service, i'd look up the details but hate junkmail so am surprised that this much info made it as far as my head..
  16. i have a couple of camel trophy vids that i can't throw away, i could watch them anytime on youtube but still keep the tapes. i think i have a vhs player behind the telly somewhere:001_cool:
  17. wow that looks cold, did he climb up that rope?
  18. i'd like more info on the removable studs, how easy is it to remove/fit, what tools are needed? i had a go studding tyres with an air gun years ago when i worked in a garage but can't remember how it worked..
  19. sweet hinge though.. idiots:thumbdown:
  20. whats this? someone on their knees? pile on snow dive and faceplanted them hahaha:thumbup:
  21. im just going to sneak away quietly.........to make a pile of rapid deploy snow missiles:thumbup:
  22. thats a cool website, loads of goodies there:thumbup1:
  23. no, if the engine starts immediately then you can change the earth strap for a new one, if it still struggles you can cross that off the blacklist..
