  1. wish i had time to get bored, loads of projects to get on with and no time to play with ..bloody work, just when i thought i'd done for the year too!
  2. just for fun, obviously i had a thin layer of woodchip on top of a big lightweight polystyrene block. the angle of the ground makes it look heavy though:biggrin:
  3. very funny [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO7MswN5tlg]Bar De Boa - YouTube[/ame] anyone else see this one a couple of years ago? you typed your name and surname in and had it inked onto to actors
  4. mostly raw chicken carcasses for my mutts, the big dog would make the ideal stray dog though as he can knock over the wheelie bins and always find a yummy snack, the little one is finishing my pie right now ..big dog is not going to be happy when he wakes up haha
  5. 460 is an ace saw, just not a milling saw, it will do it but even with a razor sharp chain you will get bored halfway through the log. get a bigger saw and keep it sharp. happy milling
  6. try some and give it a go, don't forget to video it for us all to enjoy:lol:
  7. well i spent almost 6hrs sewing my hiflexes instead of buying new ones, got another pair to mend now and i'll be good for another few months. best money saving tip ..regular servicing, and paying the right staff! don't waste your good money on lazy wasters who talk about the job more than doing it!
  8. hands up who spotted it was a beech tree limb weighing about 1tonne before reading it?
  9. ask your local coal merchant for 'nutty slack'(say that bit clearly or face a slap) or similar dusty coal thats not in lumps, a good layer of that will keep the embers going all night
  10. i got pulled by police once for having the mutts unrestrained in the cab with me, they said i was ok if they were in the back of the truck. wasn't happy about having them in the back as just picked up a box of chicken carcasses for dogfood. dogs werent complaining!
  11. darent take mine most of the time, they don't know how to crap behind bushes ..always in front!
  12. just tie a sensible size dog to it:lol:. all of the above, block it in with a couple of awkwardly parked vehicles too, i have used logs chained to the ground with ground anchors to block kit in. big gates/covers to keep prying eyes out etc..
  13. not yet haha, meant to be below freezing tonight so with the grit on the roads i expect it'll have rusted through by morning:lol:. hows your old tug?
  14. of course, havn't you seen my bespoke ducting? good job the door seals don't work or i'd melt:lol:
  15. yeah, i know what you are saying ..but given how much i laughed about them and their misfortune (the same as im sure everyone enjoys seeing me broken down at the side of the road when its all my fault) i thought sharing was caring and you guys deserved a chuckle too:thumbup1:
  16. roads are going crazy! first pic guy wedged himself with tail lift stuck on the bridge and nose on the high kerbs, lovely smell of clutch as he kept trying, ended up having to reverse back up the steep hill at morning rush hour (yesterday). 2nd pic (today) spotted this at the side of the road:lol:
  17. i paid £800 for a good one, easily shunted around the yard with a landy/forktruck when empty
  18. didn't bother with a handrail..
  19. leave the door open a crack so the dog can use the garden when it wants:thumbup1:
  20. chipper reversing eh? we just use the same method as reversing the landy ....by braille:thumbup:
  21. rip a good sized lump into a rectangular box shape with a sharp saw, maybe 2inch thick, and three inches all round bigger than the intended pics, then plunge through to make a picture hole. cut some glass to fit (ask an adult) and screw some offcuts behind to hold the glass in place. you can taper the plunge cuts to hold the glass snug too. i might have a go too!
  22. that happened to me years ago, even with draining tanks, blasting everywhere with airline and letting it dry out somewhere warm for a few days, loads of water blasted out of the exhaust when it fired up. it ran fine and is still going strong now. there was a loop in the rope and after refuelling my bro just clipped the nearly new saw into the loop, i pulled and it made it halfway up the tree before dropping into the river below and was washed over a small waterfall ..followed rapidly by my bro, its ok he can swim:thumbup:
  23. did a few days work for someone, he promised cash at the end of the job, then when we finished said because we hadn't dug the stumps out he wasn't paying! i needed the money so offered to grind them out in order to get paid, he said if i ever went on his land again i would be trespassing and he would kill me. and tree stumps are always dug out by hand! i walked away because he had my address, i never saw him without at least three of his henchmen behind him, i had no stick to hit him with because we chipped them all. another tree co later told me they heard he hit gas, electric and phone lines while removing the stumps with a jcb. doesn't quite heal the £1500 gap in my pocket
  24. was messing around with an armoured 110 a few months ago, it was destined for the rifle range to be shot to bits, had a vin plate stating 3600kg. would be fun to get some jumped up vosa oik thinking he had a bonus by weighing off 100kg heavier than what he expected and wasting his time like they waste ours!
  25. put head on pillow/ropebag/headrest/dog and wake up when alarm goes off, i sometimes have nightmares about the alarm not going off and never waking up! used to be a light sleeper ..not now! hope this helps haha, i do work pretty hard from when i wake till bedtime though
