  1. All you can do is be polite. If you use ebays tools you can get the feedback removed. Just have a browse through you'll find out how. You can get it removed and it counts as no score. Those types of buyers are all over the place. As the buyer is so well protected. People still don't realise it's a legal contract and abuse those protections.
  2. Leccy saws do have their place. We bought two last year as when we sell christmas trees we had always used petrol ones for a long time, with axes and bowsaws before that, with customers always in close proximity and noise an issue especially with small children around, buying two electric ones we havent looked back, there are still the same risks regarding cutting, the response isnt instant when you press the switch though, which is my only gripe. you just fill them with chain oil and use them, they get used in dirty conditions so chains are sharpened a couple of times a day we bought two husqvarna 321E. At their price they are worth it, but would never replace petrol ones elsewhere. We found them to be a good choice, lot less maintenance involved. as long as you know how to look after them, your fine.
  3. you might struggle to get them in a single package, phone a few of the suppliers from here, im after a pair of double pads like those, tried some and liked the extra bit of comfort.
  4. yep the best technique is the safest technique. it may not be the quickest. but it bodes well to do it safe than to get some quick cash! when i was doing some training a while ago i wouldnt stop holding onto my ropes, i was told to put my hands on my head and shout im a happy tree man!
  5. i would assume its a sell up, two ground saws a mid range saw and a big saw for big trees. ideally id like a range like that. i was tempted to give an offer for the 064
  6. i have a GT i bought a couple of years ago, its in perfect order, but has been left outside too much for my liking so one of the shocks has a spot of rust and other chromy bits do too. i paid £300 for it and i am looking to sell it actually. will try and get a photo up on here so you can see it
  7. I see. Copying my reflection shot idea eh? Nice pic set Dave. I hate working on/with dead stuff. So much more wobbly!
  8. where would you stand on something like this, if someone got injured when they ignored all your signs? IME you are covering your back, but without some sort of banksman in this situation and having people walking through a worksite and on the unlikely event someone gets injured, how would you deal with it?
  9. big congratunlations from me mate, im not at that stage with my mrs yet, still a few years away!
  10. more than it should be! 6.6 ton!
  11. I'd use that for cutting up my sarnies. But we have a local lidl. Gonna go have a gander later then!
  12. i would think that due to the trees having anchor roots and that an earthquake gives them a good shake i would assume that its not much more stress than a strong wind?
  13. happy birthday rich. Ill buy you a beer at the apf!
  14. I just used a needle when I got my finger bashed by a hockey stick. Although I then found that I just had to stab the tip of my finger as it wasn't under the nail. Part of the nail was blak but just underneath.
  15. It's built up now for it's intended purpose. And there are further modifications planned. Don't have any piccies just yet. But we are planning on a utility type canopy with a roller shutter either side and a nice big door at the back for storage. In black of course!
  16. You may be able to use our place. Although it may be too far out your way. Looking at 30 mins from Salford.
  17. No I don't own anything protect with husqvarna on it. Nor do I live near hills that steep!
  18. I weigh 10.5 stone. I'm nowhere near using that stuff as a ladder! I use blunt pruning spikes so they don't jam in as far but they slip a lot so I leave trees with tiger stripes! And a 3strand strop that's all frayed and just tied onto my harness
  19. I left because he wanted me to join him. I said how very dare you and slapped him with my handbag and stormed off in a huff! It must of been those womens glasses I found confusing him! Oh the mrs loved them too!
  20. i suppose you do, i dont have a name that reflects my work, so i dont have to live up to it!
  21. Thank you David. I never aspired to be much. All I knew was I wanted to be a business man. When I had first thoughts that meant a guy with a briefcase in the city. Doing his 9-5 like a bit of a lemming! I never expected anything close to what I've done. I was bought my 260 when I was 16. Used that and loved it. 6 months later I did cs30-34! I was into it then. But when I got climbing is when I really got into it. Starting the degree is another fantastic career choice. Which I would recommend to anyone. Unless they already had it! Joining this place has truly inspired me! The people are great. I can always find something good to read and I enjoy the banter!
  22. It's a habit I try to play down! But I'll be locked securely in the front! Away from stray hairy rum drinking meteor tennis playing arbs!
  23. Well I think I'll be trying on a lot of boots at this fancy show then. But I think the Colour may be a factor. Not that I'm doing it to annoy mr Spencer
  24. It must be those shoddy tree services you offer!
  25. it did indeed. going through the pics it doesnt look too bad at first. Hence why i only thought it would be a day. Ian: i agree with your statements there! Although over the past 6 months i have made sure i have a good range of gear so that i can tackle jobs and what they throw at me, ive got friends who will help me out, the chipper i used was a friend who ive done a bit of work for and some favours, said that while im starting out, if i need the chhipper, i can use it for free! its just a bit of hassle because its tractor mounted and i need to take a trailer aswell. i would like to go back and do the job, and take more people on the first day. slow the climber down and get things done bish bash bosh!
