  1. I bet that trailer took some filling! If I used it like that for all my jobs I'd only empty it once a fortnight! Blower on a chipper seems a good idea if built well
  2. Correct! it was an iddy biddy fistulina just emerging. It was roughly the size of my little finger nail. Took some hunting!
  3. Well maybe that reads wrong, can you see what I saw? Here's what I saw
  4. That post won't come up for me Sam. Idk why! Tony I'm still a long way off being as good as you! I really enjoyed it today! Loved getting in them and having a good dig to hunt for that fung. Second pic: doctor doctor I've found a lump!
  5. I really wanted to go but time wasn't on our side. Definitely next time! I'll start getting some pics up. Only took 202 this time! Seems like at least 50% are of fistulina!
  6. Sensing texts are no good either If they arrive 2 hours later! Was another good day. Stinking hot. Lots of AMAZING trees, oodles of little fistulinas, scardey cows, fung lunges (funges Sams term!) and a good laugh! I've been looking at what I thought were big trees at home and now they look tiny! Pics to follow in all sorts of threads!
  7. 10am at the car park then?
  8. I've got an order form to send off to them to get one. I received a copy of wood decay by weber today and that already has helped me work it out. I'll get the order form posted. Then go and buy a bigger bookcase. Already filled mine now.
  9. So it's Grifola? I'm still unsure as to which fungi cause what rots, I'm better than I used to be but it's just a case of finding the association. And trying to remember them. It's a bit tricky!
  10. It appears to be an old meripilus or a Grifola frondosa. Laetiporus tends to be on the stem as it cays heartwood where merip and Grifola are base/root decayers
  11. I got a hp photosmart plus b210a. Has e print and AirPrint. Get the hp e print app to go with it too. It's a bit finicky to set up but does work. Mine is a bit temperamental but I think that's my wireless network causing the issue. I got mine from comet for £55 Was £15 cheaper than currys. Make sure it's the b210a model you get as there is a b210 that doesn't have AirPrint! The box for the printer will say compatible with iPad but only says it on one side so check for that.
  12. not really an ad but i found this a while ago and its pretty funny [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4axmfkhq8c[/ame]
  13. looks like Armilliaria to me too, but it could be a range as more than one will have white mycelium!
  14. they are average quality, made by oregon, as are most things.
  15. the price has been put in and i think theres a good chance we will get it, i will let you know.
  16. Personally I would consider it as a 'normal' tree and manage the regrowth, taking away the poorly attached and smaller regrowth and then leave one or two main branches to rebuild the canopy over the coming years. Along with a thin of the lower crown to leave some resources for the tree to help rebuild it's upper canopy.
  17. Bigger bar? As long as it lands in the right place what's the issue?
  18. I pick anything up and the if the price isn't £free then I put it down or find it cheaper!
  19. it probably works out to 2 and a half hours for me, i could probably shave it a lot closer to 2 though depending on timescales for it all id be interested in the extra bit
  20. chainsaws work best, cut them at the bottom, then cut out what you need and then get a ruck load of nails and stick it back up!
  21. and id still have a bit left! id have to drive steady though, all my footwear is a bit heavy
  22. In my little citroen I could get there and back on £30!
  23. It's the quickest way back to the car park. I wouldn't go in there otherwise. I'm way too much of a tigharse!
