  1. My wife asked me to send her a dirty text message today. So I texted kitchen, living room, laundry, dining room.
  2. The way you had the foray running and the standards I perceived were as good as you could get on any course IMO. I would be happy to start tomorrow!
  3. Jo from treesource was at Myerscough today. After standing flicking through most of them there for nearly all my lunch hour i settled on these three! I think they should tie in well with my studies and further!
  4. add another wrap on the VT, i found that cured that issue for me and gave me a lot more peace of mind! glad your ok though! could have been much worse!
  5. its not had a hard life really, its sat around in a shed for most of it. then i started using it last year and i think thats the most its had, it was orginally bought to be a mistblower but we have one thats set up for it and we have all the bits to turn this one into one. its never missed a beat since ive been using it, ready to work in less than 5 pulls 9 times out of 10!
  6. thats cool, proper kit and its good to see bigger trees being considered for replanting instead of woodchip!
  7. i bet that little blower feels vioalted after clearing all that sawdust nice vid, some good lowering in there too.
  8. i bought mine at size 9, i was a size 10 in haix blue ridge but needed 2 pairs of thick socks to fill them after a while, wearing thick socks only squashes the padding out further, i wear a thin pair of socks everyday with my airstreams, even in winter, thick socks make it too tight and i get cold feet from bad circulation then! the inners are memory foam, so will shape over time, mine are awesome now!
  9. id leave it to work its way off, ive got felt glue on my hands and arms from helping my grandad fix his garage roof, white spriit was ok but wouldnt get it all, im just leaving it! would white spirit not work? or petrol?
  10. i find one of them green scouring pads that normally live in the kitchen works well on some things, failing that, a metal scourer has worked in the past, if you dont mind having sore hands! can you not soak it in the bath or something for a while and then have a good scrub?
  11. it had a new spark plug, the old one looked cracked at the base, it was very dark so i think it could be the air filter, ill have a look in the next day or two. looks like a carb clean is in order too then. Cheers
  12. ill vouch for pete, works hard for his wood. keep your pies safe though!
  13. My br420 backpack blower has been causing aggro recently. It had not been messed with in a long time, probably years, and always ran fine, until these past couple of weeks. The other day it was really temperamental and would start but as soon as it got revved it would die. Then I could run it and rev it gently and it would run for ages and get the job done. Then go to use it again and it's back to running for a few seconds and cutting out. I altered the carb slightly and it seemed to help a bit. It was fresh fuel in it too. It's really puzzling. Is it a carb issue or even as simple as the fuel filter?
  14. I would have tried to make it if you were going! It's a looong drive though! Apparently nearly another hour compared to going to whip!
  15. I put a load in plastic wallets. They went all mouldy and smelly. So I had to collect them all again! They did take a couple of weeks to go all ugly. I could do a bit of evening leaf stalking. But if Ed manages then jobs a goodun
  16. I think there's one in a customers garden. If you can wait a few weeks? Don't know if the leaves will be any good by then?
  17. Oops Didn't think of that! I forget it's there sometimes! Must remember to use it more.
  18. X10 on the lens and then x10 on the eyepiece so x100. There was a x40 on the lens too and I did get images of that but it only got the larger vessels in.
  19. Yeah sure. I'll bring a few so you can have a browse.
  20. im a bit confused by this one, i cant remember the name tony mentioned when we spotted it. Ive looked through my books and i come to the Amethyst Deceiver - Laccaria amethystina?
  21. i found this one to be a good fungi book too Collins Complete British Mushrooms and Toadstools Paul Sterry | WHSmith.co.uk
  22. i believe the 1st and 3rd on that list are the same, just different editions, 2004 and 2007. Ive got the 2007 edition of the first on the list, the illustrated encyclopedia, its the one i mentioned to you. its a good book!
  23. nice little example of both brown rot in oak and also the annual rings showing the ring porous habit of oak, from saturday at whippendell and a microscope image of the rings from 1st year at college too, managed to get an average phone camera shot down the lens
  24. We have a snowex one that's big enough to fit in a navara d40 crew cab bed with a control pod in the front. Holds nearly a ton I think nrates are adjustable, you need less down than you think to be effective. We also use a tractor trailer spreader that is usually used for sand spreading but can have the rates modified to do salt. That will hold 5 ton. Loaded by the tractor. That was very effective for us.
