  1. Has anyone got a fan that will fit the Oregon chain grinder? The bench mounted one. I've still not been able to get hold of one! Cheers
  2. Some virgin connybashing on Sunday. Right on the a56 in bury. Busy enough! Job went well though. Armchairarborist did the bashing!
  3. Yeah that's a king cab. Looks a bit like mine D22 is still navara. The d22 is just a model number. Mine is badged navara on the back. Bad thing to happen! I hope they are found!
  4. I used to do jobs on my own when I started but soon decided that I can afford to bring someone in for the day. I do that every time now and feel much better sharing the workload. Plus you can have a laugh and meet people who then may give you more work
  5. As mentioned before it would be an insurance case, I'm currently dealing with one, a big willow 2ft from a garage with a lean going away from the garage. The garage foundations were there before the tree and it shows no signs of heave but the area 6" from the garage has been lifted up 3"!
  6. Ask me about this tomorrow Sam I'll be able to give you some info!
  7. You are right about trying to convince them. I suppose it can still be extra money. With trees coming back I guess it does depend on it's circumstances. They do have slightly less chance with a good grind out though
  8. How could roots cause problems when they are not actively growing and are beginning to decay? I don't poison roots because I don't want any runoff, especially neat glyphosate. I've only had a eucalyptus grow again, within a month it had put another small clump about an inch high. It was getting ground anyway. But most trees don't come back.
  9. Can you not just get pa1 and pa6 and spray it or stem inject it?
  10. Update, there is now monday available too!
  11. Got 3 days booked. Some easier ones. All easy enough work. St helens area Phone or text 07516348002 or pm me on here. Cheers!
  12. I'd love to buy it. If it was this time next year! It would tick all my boxes. However ATM I'm sticking with the navara as it's paid for and can be used on other tasks making it easier for everyone. I'd love a dedicated truck though!
  13. When climbing SRT with a friction hitch like a VT, using the hitch alone creates too much friction soothe hitch is very stiff, adding something like the rope wrench or a figure 8 hold some of the friction in the rope, thus decreasing the load on the hitch to a manageable amount. Hope that helps
  14. I spoke to a guy at a climbing day at college from buxtons. It's not on their website and I can't seem to find it elsewhere but it's similar in design to ocean polyester but it's blue and White. Looks cool. Wish I had bought some!
  15. The only way you'll get clean chip here is by chipping up some of the logs I've got, I do have a big pile of chip and if you wanted I could scoop it up but it would be a mix of conifer and some chestnut to get enough from one side. If that's any use. It's sat for a little bit so it's all brown
  16. I think I'll use asda pay at pump if they get funny elsewhere. It's a shame, maybe they were selling the looted gear to pay for the petrol!
  17. Doing this at any available opportunity [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1Kk0qkAxKU]Leaf blower fun - YouTube[/ame]
  18. Hmm, with 2l left and 5 days of work booked, I think I'll have to stick with th silky!
  19. a stabilising leg across the bottom of the ladder that doubles as a rear bar for your van, two birds and one stone!
  20. Thou shall buy the biggest blower available i.e. br600 to ensure less brushing up, making your crew think your awesome
  21. Upon a closer, more awake look, no it's not tachyon! Is that similar to the viper?
  22. You'll probably get about a skipfull I'll get my coat I would just mash it up in the skip if that was the only choice, it's surprising what it goes down to!
  23. Thinning can all too often become lion tailing! Plenty round here done by the council. They work out of mewps. Would not like to climb some of those trees without spikes. Probably couldn't!
  24. seems like they knew more than we care to realise! I'm in between Liverpool and Manchester, with people I know in both areas, nit directly affected but it's not far away. I wish everyone is safe in the affected areas. I think tear gas and plastic bullets should sort them out. People left in their homes will outnumber those scumbags in the street, why not all go up in arms and defend their own communities?
  25. I've just Received permission for some reduction and other pruning works at one site, no issues with that here
