  1. Can you not set the camera to trigger a switch for a few huge lights when it detects and takes a photo? Will be much easier to capture them and will make them think twice before going back.
  2. I used a 450d yesterday which has been superseded by the 550d now. It is a brilliant camera and I had an 18-55mm lens. However it's more like £500 For that money, look at the 1100d. On amazon ATM for £379 for the body and a 18-55mm lens which is a good price!
  3. Nice hazard beam you could have reduced the end weight on that and it would have closed up! Nice vid and takedown
  4. i was half right, it was an 18-55mm lens! it was my mums camera, would love one myself, eyeing up a 1100d, entry level SLR with the same lens, should give me some good pics!
  5. Where was it you went? Looked a good spot! I've got an idea Tony, I'll send you a message!
  6. We were a bit keen all added to the fun(g)! Happy Hama at height And the lesser spotted Lancashire man looking at some chicken
  7. Thank you Canon 450d with 18-25mm lens, i think that's the right lens. I'll check. Rob: I fell asleep very shortly after!
  8. I like the one with the oak in the background here. Worked well I think.
  9. And again. There's been some crackers today!
  10. And some more. Can only do 2 at a time!
  11. Couple on the pine, phaeolus? Can't remember off the top of my head!
  12. Thanks Tony for a very enjoyable, tiring and informative day, definitely learned a few things, especially about fistulina! Was good to meet you and Tobias, putting names to faces is always good! I got some really good pics. I'll put a few up now through tapatalk, it doesn't like lots of large images so there may be a lot of posts! I'll get more up tomorrow. I'm now nursing a fat blister on my foot, regret not wearing my airstreams now!
  13. That's high hedges Right to light only comes in with buildings
  14. How about a container then screw some nice milled oak on it so it looks like a log cabin? It's your neighbours who see it more anyway
  15. Adjust the carb, if you are nearby a dealer get them to set the carb up for you, they will probably set the chain too. It needs to be leaned off a bit. Covers and bars and chains will dpget hot, usually not burn your fingers hot though. Are there springs in the clutch? There should be. If the chain hasn't been tightened already, do that, too much will cause friction and will cause burrs on the bar guide rails. Too little and you get 'slap' from the chain underneath the nose sprocket and above the drive sprocket on the bar. What chain oil are you using?
  16. Yes, there are belts that link the shaft to the flywheel. As the shaft is higher on the machine and it has the hopper and flywheel lower the belts help to keep the pto shaft straight at working speed, not that it makes any difference if it's on a slight angle, but it definitely has belts between the two!
  17. Good job I raided tesco before! Got plenty of sustainence to keep me (and a small army!) going! Looking forward to it. Weather forecast seems ok. I'll still bring some wet proofs!
  18. The shields will still work with almost any case. Some slide in an out ones it grips too much but it saves having a million scratches on your screen. Then go to istyles.com to get a skin. Bulk free and scratch proof case!
  19. Should have gone for the 4 Sam! They will stop supporting the 3GS soon after the new model comes out. I have tried cases but never got on with any. Got an invisibleshield and just use a toothpick to clean out the holes every now and again. Just be conscious of it, I always make sure the screen is to my leg in my pocket. I can only then break the back bit if I get whipped or hit with something.
  20. could you not get a container? for a third of that you can get a 10ft container
  21. i went over to a lockjack, i tried a VT a few weeks back and did not like how grippy it was compared! for people who dont like using the advanced hitch climbing style of pull up then tend slack, why not just get a 50cm sling and put that between you and your carabiner, then you can just pull from underneath leaving no slack!
