  1. Crown lift won't make a great deal of difference, also makes tall straight trees top heavy. Let them take court action, think they will be laughed at.
  2. Website, top of Google search, and local paper advert. Truck professional sign writing. Once ya done a few jobs, word of mouth.
  3. Shiply.com I've used them loads, infact used them to pick up a chipper for me this year.
  4. I'm 50yrs old and my body hurts really hurts. Can't see me doing it much past 55. I do domestic tree surgery and forestry. Must admit I've enjoyed it all really. But think I'll pay for it when really old
  5. Yeah bargain,, not. Worth nothing
  6. All been a total waste of time. Government Could of just given every one 100 grand in the country each and not done any lockdown at all. Would of been cheaper

    I agree with Timon,
  8. Always used trust. My navara fully comp, insured for work, towing etc is £315 this year. If that helps.
  9. Good point. But what about getting hold of timber to produce logs. I don't buy import all local, but what with no one importing at moment demand will be very high in this country.
  10. How's it all going out there? Everyone got next winters stock all split and ready? Are people out there still felling and removing large amounts of standing timber or just stopped for now?. I've managed to to get 50t of ash locally but that's all. I'm sure the sales of logs end of this year will only drop a small amount but definitely effect the supply to wholesale. What are your thoughts? Worried?
  11. Hi Alex. I used to work for Craig tree services from avalon, but lived on Scotland island pittwater.
  12. No sorry, was a while ago now. I remember I contacted as many companies at the time looking for work in the area I wanted to work around. nearly all of em said yes. Due to the lack of people wanting to work? Sydney and the northern beaches are definitely the best, did work in Perth for a bit just to have a look and an adventure but Sydney the best.. I liked it so much I overstayed my yrs working visa by 3yrs then got deported.
  13. I worked around the northern beaches, avalon, palm Beach, pittwater etc. Back in the mid 90s I was first getting 100 dollars pr day which after 4 weeks doubled to 200. Just being a groundy. I loved the outlook they had,the wildlife and found them more on my level, Also never ever worked later than 3pm If ozzys like you and your a laugh I found they treated you like a lifetime best friend straight away. If they didn't like you, you've had it.
  14. Nsw Australia.. Bloody loved it.
  15. Agreed. Not a good time, I started climbing At 34. 50 now and still climb (not as much)
  16. Going to be interesting now it's cheaper to put your oil heating on than buying logs for heat? Also many of you having trouble getting wholesale stock?
  17. Maybe but 99% of them are mid 20s male's that could of stayed there to help there families but no, just ran away leaving the real young and old to suffer.
  18. Just out of interest, how many acres gives you 600 cube? Species, size and is clear fell? I'd be interested to know
  19. Dosent matter what any one says.. I AIN'T GOT NO WORK. My phone has not rang for 3 weeks
  20. Yes I'm going to work tomorrow
