  1. Just buy some vented bags and stack on pallets.
  2. I got it many years ago or it might be golfers elbow (dont play either) and I did it sawing a branch up a ladder with my arm rwisted at a strange angle. Not been able to train biceps ever since. Doctors just said rest but no matter how long I rested it for the pain came straight back as soon as I worked it.
  3. Done.... not looked at prizes yet but assume there will be an Aston Martin in there
  4. Spot on.... I built a fantastic gym at home as I always trained at gyms full commercial equipment loads of boxing gear etc. but my time in there has just dwindled this year (although my posing son virtually lives in there), If you make the effort to go to a gym you have gone for that purpose so will do your stuff and its always good to be looking at someone out of the corner of your eye thinking he looks pretty fit and I`m sure I can better that:thumbup1:
  5. Saw this on my travels yesterday
  6. Oh my head........... HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL and may it be a prosperous one.
  7. And I`m sure that it has nothing at all to do with the tax man or woman in fact ( who I imagine to have a moustache and comfortable shoes ) knocking on the door for 150k ... how many cube of seasoned hardwood would I need to sell to raise that ... so SWB if you would like a lesson on stress just come on down .... time to look in the mirror and grin
  8. I couldnt sleep last night so ended up getting up at 2.30am and started reading the Firewood forum from the begining and it was quite an education. Had I done this before I would not have asked many of the stupid questions that I have `How big is your log` etc. I would recommend this to all new members.
  9. I`ve got these and I bought my friend a pair for her Christmas pressie ... its a real Ever Decreasing Circles moment when we go for walks now I may go for the lunge if I get drunk tomorrow:biggrin:
  10. If you dont want to walk and just want to pose get these
  11. After only being a member for 2 to 3 months and not being from an Arb background I have read all the various threads with a little bit of a wry smile. In all professions we can become full of our own self importance (and rightly so) but TIMES CHANGE in ALL professions and he who does not move with the times dies. I was in the retail petroleum business for 34 years and I was very good at what I did and I took the high and mighty attitude that I was not going to sell fuel for no profit just to get people into my shop like the Hyper Markets ( tree work/ logs ) because my premises that I had invested in were worth a fortune and should show a return to reflect this ( mogs, cranes, saws, chippers, sign writing, qualifications ). All businesses go through cycles and if you do not continually adapt you will die.
  12. Now that really made me spill my drink
  13. Err no we`re not ... your getting us mixed up with the poncy tally ho brigade
  14. I bought some gravity boots a couple of months ago but havent figured what to hang from yet. Going to try a barbell threaded through two steel rings screwed into a beam:001_huh: I bought them to help stretch out.

    I think its called `The Christmas Bloat`
  16. Wood by Andy Goldsworthy and whilst not wood related I also got,
  17. Went to Croft junior (no longer exists) then Eastbourne .... I owned Three Ways Service Station in Blidworth till about 18 months ago and I built that one at top of Rock Hill and sold that about 9 years ago ( I built Three Ways as well) ... just dabblin with property now (bought that old cinema on Skerry Hill and just got planning for houses) BUT I`ve become obsessed with wood and have an idea for a firewood business for next year ... meanwhile collectin wood choppin wood collectin wood choppin wood collectin wood ch................................................
  18. I know the area very well .... lived in Sutton when at school and had a business in Blidworth and Mansfield for many years until a couple of years ago.
  19. A sad sad reflection of this governments health service.
  20. Christmas Eve children stay ( Jordan 18 Cherry 13 ) and `friend` comes round for drink but doesn’t sleep over cos has to cook Christmas dinner for family the next day. Up early open presents have a laugh and children go to mothers for Christmas dinner. Children return for family get together in the evening. Boxing day `friend` returns and go for long walk in the snow interspersed with a couple of pints of Guinness. Return home to the glow of a log fire settle down on sofa and chillllllllll …….. Life aint so bad….. and that’s the life of the modern man
  21. I remember when my son was born ( he is 18 now ). Walking out of the hospital door I realised he was the one thing that I would have stood in front of a charging bull for with no hesitation.... my life changed on that day.
